What? No they won't.

This team will be lucky to win a first round series, and I seriously think it will be a complete disaster and they will miss the playoffs.

How would not acquiring Rondo and Wade have benefitted the Bulls? How would Calderon and Dunleavy starting been good for the Bulls? Would that scenario have been less of a disaster?

Put down your controller and turn off your PS3.

I noticed though not surprising, that the question went unanswered.

Mully(his fill in this morning) and Hanley were talking about someone talking to Wade about how he took a pay cut to have players like Udanis Haslem(sp?) signing with the Heat. And how he took like $6mill less for this, and the Heat owed him. The guy said said he talked to Wade on the record, and was went more in depth off the record. It pretty much sounded about money. So, if this is the case, I doubt he really cares about a championship unless he thinks Lebron is gonna come here.

It's his last contract or his last big contract. He had been loyal to the Heat and assumed that they would be loyal to him in the end and once again Riley proved that he was full of shit.

Wade was hosting on Michael and Kelly this morning. I think he's coming to Chicago to start his media career.

Yeah this is going to go down as a horribly failed experiment. The only positives is that it might be such a trainwreck that it somehow takes down the holy trinity of GarPaxHoi

I really think that is his motivation.

Soothe over some hurt feelings in Chicago before he retires.

The Bulls traded Calderon and Dunleavy for Dwayne Wade. Both guys are older than Wade. The Bulls have a better basketball team than they had 4 days ago. I don't really understand how this can be a disaster. At worst they have these guys for 2 years.

Clubhouse stuff gets overblown and it is one of the products of the talk show social media age.

Once you win nobody notices that. Is LeBron Divisive? What about everyone's favorite Draymond Green? Draymond Green challenges coaches and players on a regular basis yet it gets overlooked because they win? He hangs guys out to dry with locker room tirades yet he is considered the heart and soul because they win.

The 85 Bears are celebrated 30 years after winning a Super Bowl. Here is highlight of some of the things that went on during that year for our younger audience.

Coach and Defensive coordinator that openly hated each other

2 holdout starters 1 an all pro the other arguably a pro bowler.

Quarterback that fought with the coach.

QB that fought with the commissioner.

QB and Hall of fame that hated one another.

Defense that openly chose sides in the squabble between Defensive Coordinator and Head Coach.

They still won.

Feigned ignorance is truly grand. Can you or anyone explain how a team with Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo is worse than a team with Mike Dunleavy and Jose Calderon?

The notion of guys being clubhouse cancers. It's overblown. Maybe I should provide you a history lesson on the Jordan Era Bulls and the locker room stuff that went on with that.

Can you or anyone answer how this makes the Bulls worse? I keep seeing disaster posted. How is it worse? The Bulls will be a playoff team now.

Most of the time it is a disaster though. Citing a few times it wasn't doesn't really mean much.

Unless of course you think the Bulls will see those levels of success.

That's not guaranteed. They will be a worse shooting team than last year, and last season was abysmal.

It's not overblown. Strong leadership is needed to overcome cancers or they have to be removed. We've all seen how cancers can destroy weak teams.

Signing two players in their 30's that can't shoot makes the Bulls worse. It fucks up their spacing on offense and causes problems on D when unmotivated and shoddy defenders try to keep up with actual NBA talent. This fucks up a plan to go younger and more athletic and I think that the locker room stuff is going to be a real issue with this team. Get ready for a litany of terrible Joe Cowley rumors about how Butler isn't happy being the 3rd fiddle when he was supposed to inherit this team from Rose. Hoiberg is not enough coach to keep all of the ego's in check.

Be kind. ltg thinks Carmelo is doing a good job in New York too. Of course he would like these moves.

I can pick many more situations than that. I just chose to cite those two. It's a talk show narrative promoted by lazy journalists who are much more interested in the soap opera aspect of sports. It allows them an easy out for not having to "analyze" the game. This guy is unhappy, so is that guy, thus that's why the team lost.

So these moves, that make them older, are going to give them the prize of a playoff appearance and that is it?

You are a big fan of first round exits aren't you?

This was a team that was going to struggle to win 20 games. They traded two guys older than Wade. Rondo is 30. Bull spacing? Calderon can't guard his lunch and neither can Dunleavy. Who cares about Butler's happiness. Dunleavy and Calderon would have been the consummate professionals. Yeah they would have deferred to Butler and they would have won 20 games.

The Bulls now have 2 legitimate NBA starters in their starting lineup. Wade was an All Star last season. Who the hell is Joe Cowley and why should he be allowed to influence personnel moves?

Championship or Bust bias is once again rearing it's ugly head again. Your absolutist way of looking at sports is extremely fallacious.

I just don't see the benefit in going from 20 wins to 38 wins, but you know to each their own. Some people like it when you shit on a glass coffee table that is over their faces. I don't judge.

Jimmy Butler says something to the press about the incompetent coach's incompetence and he's a "malcontent" who didn't buy in and was responsible for last season going to hell. The Bulls sign a guy in Rajon Rondo who's feuded far more harshly and publicly with his last 3 coaches, including quitting in the playoffs, and suddenly clubhouse drama talk is overblown.

It isn't championship or bust. I just don't see the value in making the playoffs and being an easy out for a team that is actually good.

Do you think the Houston Rockets had a good season last year?

I can pick many more situations than that. I just chose to cite those two. It's a talk show narrative promoted by lazy journalists who are much more interested in the soap opera aspect of sports. It allows them an easy out for not having to "analyze" the game. This guy is unhappy, so is that guy, thus that's why the team lost.
So these moves, that make them older, are going to give them the prize of a playoff appearance and that is it?

You are a big fan of first round exits aren't you?

I guess you are a fan of picking 6 in the lottery. That really gets the Bulls closer to a championship, doesn't it?
