i generally scoff at the white sox-esqe methods of signing over the hill veterans, but hester is one of my favorite past bears. you could sense the crowd's anticpation before every punt return snap, that was always fun and has disapeared and been replaced with will mark marianos (or whatever TF his name is) muff the punt or not.

give him the vet min and see what's left early in camp if he's physically able.

As long as the contract is the same one that Peanut just signed, I'm all for it.
