last year they were better than i thought they'd be, which means that they were in a lot more games that they coulda/shoulda won and thus it was ultimately more disappointing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory a handful of times (vikings, redskins, etc) but at least they weren't 2nd-year-of-trestmania bad. you could see some pretty darn legit bucks-style-SOLID shining through more often than you thought you would heading into the season.

this year? hrmm. total spectrum is from 5-11 to ~10-6, most likely 7-9 to 9-7; this will feature a handful of surprisingly competitive games that have you thinking they're kinda better than you assumed (thinking half glass empty), but then there's also like 1-3 clunkers that have you thinking "yep they're shit" and if the personnel ends up having more raw quality/SOLIDness than you thought that's when you start realizing the limitations of fox as a coach (just like the broncos did)
