From his facebook page:

It's legally official now.
I am a single dad. Like so many,
I find myself juggling vocation, avocation, and co-parenting schedules…keeping the focus directly where it should be: on the well-being of this guy. I’m thankful
for the communication we have as a family, and Rubin is doing great. He knows he is loved, and has two doting
parents who treat each other with respect.
Time is way too precious
to waste with regrets or resentment.
I choose compassion, and will work to pass that on

Poor guy.

His wife got all skinny and jumped on the next skinny guy who came along's dong I bet.

Typical.

At least he still has his music. I'm sure he was up all night working on the lyrics to "Breaking up is hard to do"

She wasn't fat when he met her, she might of been a little chubby. I don't get what happened unless he didn't understand married life.

I am sure he is. But that chick was out of his league from the beginning. So he got to bang her, got her preggers, married her and she divorced him? It doesnt make sense.

These days nothing surprises me. More often than not its a money thing. Either she spent too much or he spent too much. Having a kid messes women up as well, but who knows.

I would assume, he makes more? And that she probably asked for the divorce.

She's probably banging the work husband by now.

Stupid Grimace probably thought it was ok to keep going with the band, have poker nights, and eat himself to 4 balloons while biscuit sat at home.

Yeah, when wife is Tweeting about a work husband, it means the real husband isn't around enough to put honey in the biscuit.

Oh, the difficulties of juggling a 4 hour work day and child rearing every second weekend.

He really is a tough personality to like when you hear his non sports thoughts.

I had been a big a supporter during his tenure at the Score. But you're right in that he just seems to be a self centered douche on non-sports matters. Wasn't that his second marriage? I mean chit happens, but he's burning through marital partners and on air partners at an unprecedented pace.

This is probably what happened. I was listening, when it was Mac and Meatpants. He could not stop plugging his stupid ass band. It was sooooo annoying.

I'd normally feel bad about this but it was pretty obvious from the very start of the marriage that he got married and still lived the exact same life he did as a bachelor.

That just doesn't work and it is dumb to get married if that is what you want.

I would assume, since I remember he kinda just dropped him getting married to the biscuit at the courthouse, that it was done because someone was preggers.

So you're telling me getting hammered and ruining your family vacation is frowned upon? Can't imagine how that marriage didn't work out.

He treated his work situation the same way.

As a guy with a non traditional aesthetic, you would think that when he found a woman he would literally grab on with two hands and not let go. Instead, he views job #1 in his life to be the front man for a cover band of 40+ years olds.

He probably bitches about the dedication of his band mates when they tell him they have to cut practice short to go home to their families.

I'm not interested in the guy's personal life but since so many of you are, I'll say that the docket report suggests that this divorce was completely cooperative and amicable.

I like Spiegel in general and am one of the few that finds his show with Goff pretty palatable, even though I only listen for 20
minutes a day tops. This is something he probably should have just left off Facebook. It is what makes that medium not much
fun to scroll through sometimes IMO. Fishing for people to cheer him up and send compliments.

As for going through a divorce, unless you have ever had to do it then I would tend to say that you don't really know what it is
really like. Most people don't get married hoping or thinking it won't work out. I genuinely feel for him and thankful that he got
a healthy and happy son out of it and that they can co-parent amicably like responsible adults.

Let me tell you what I juggled:

Working 60-80 hours a week at night 7pm-730am

Coming home and watching 2 babies 16 months apart in age

Than trying to adjust back to a "normal" day on my off time.

I did that but Speigs juggling act is a 20 hour work week and then playing bars with his band at night (Which is more of his hobby than a job)

I don't even think the band was the issue. At least he gets paid for that.

He would talk a lot about late nights at the poker tables. I understand not wanting to give up everything you did prior to marriage but that seems like a recipe for a quick divorce.

I think you might be underestimating the band part . You're a new father Rick, how would it play in your house if you disappeared several evenings a month for a hobby and then a couple weekends for the gig? Especially if presumably, your wife worked all day and you work 4 hours then ditch out to leave her with the baby at night?

I agree but I think I could at least justify it because it is like a second job. I assume he gets paid for it.

But yes, I'd be in big trouble if I did that.

How much do you think Tributeasaurus is taking home in a night? $200?
