I didn't want to jump the gun last year on Big Ben saying this was a bad trade. I wanted to give him the benefit of a full seaosn and playoffs before saying this wasn't a good move. Nas, you were right. I was wrong. We should have kept Tyson and the fact that the Bulls ended up firing Scott Skiles anyway, well, it makes the Bulls look even that more stupid. If you aren't going to keep Chandler because Skiles can't get the most of him you damn well better keep Skiles a bit longer than Paxson did. This entire team is in shambles and Ben Wallace is a huge reason why from his lack of production on court to his cancerous ways in the locker room. Nas, you smelled this one out long before I did. Now if we can only get you and Spinnin Bucket about 20 minutes in a closed door meeting with Paxson to fix this mess.

I don't remember which side of the argument I was on, but I would guess I was for the Ben Wallace signing. That would make me wrong also.

The only positive from the signing of Ben Wallace is that it made the Detroit Pistons much less of a championship quality team but that doesn't mean much when you can't parlay it into your own championship run.

Last I checked the Pistons beat the Bull last year in the playoffs. Plus they are looking like a possible finals participant this year. :o

Last I checked the Pistons didn't go to the finals last year. The pistons are a worse team because of the Ben Wallace signing. He was a great fit with the rest of those guys and would have at least taken out the Cavs last year. Who knows about the Spurs.

The signing made both the Bulls and the Pistons worse.

Everybody has quit on this team. The Bulls would not have more than 1 or 2 more victories if Chandler was here and Wallace wasnt.

I guess Ilgauskas has a decent series against the Pistons, but I might attribute their success in that series more to LeBron's incredible game 5. I doubt Wallace would have been a factor there....

Look, the Pistons are still a great team. I don't think Wallace leaving hurt them at all. They've gotten some great play from McDyess, Maxiell, even Jarvis Hayes that I think more than makes up for that loss

Nas gets props for being right on Wallace. Unfortunately, he is also wrong on Deng.

I havent seen him on the board in awhile. I thought he was the big hoops guy here but Baku and sometimes BD are the only ones that seem to talk NBA on a daily basis on this board.

I really believe Wallace is the reason for the Bulls failures. He destroyed the "team" thing Skiles had going. From day one he was whining about everything and being unprofessional. Beyond that he stats have now dropped for the 5th year in a row. He is a cancer and needs to go but no team in their right mind would take him.

From Tim Legler's mid-season grades on ESPN.com:

Quote:
Chicago Bulls (Grade: D-minus) -- The biggest disappointment in the NBA thus far. For a young, playoff-tested group to come out flat is inexcusable. Scott Skiles took the blame, but the Bulls' core group (Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Luol Deng) has struggled collectively, and Ben Wallace has been hampered physically, thus rendering him incapable of being the emotional leader the Bulls sorely need.

Huh?

Did Ben Wallace bruise his vagina?

It should say:

Ben Wallace has been hampered emotionally, thus rendering him incapable of being the physical leader the Bulls sorely need.
