Martyrs capacity is 320 and tributo charges $25 a ticket. Obviously they aren't getting most of that but that leaves them some room for a decent payday for a night pretending to be other musicians.

I have to imagine she was a band groupie. I doubt she was a Scorehead and I don't believe their eyes met from across a crowded room.

it is the 1st Wed. of the month for Spiegs and his band at Martyr's and then they do other gigs at Fitzgerald's and the Beverly Arts Center pretty consistently...I will be taking my boys to the all-ages Beatles show tomorrow at Fitzgerald's. I think the anti-Spiegs bias is so strong here that this won't be heard, but this is absolutely a cosmic live experience--I've seen them do countless bands and they are serious musicians who have a good time too...

I bet they make a pretty penny playing those street fests.

Still, at most it is walking around money. He probably isn't clearing more than 15K per year doing that.

I doubt they make that much at the regular Thursday night shows. Maybe at special events or festivals.

She's in her mid-40's, so when she got knocked up by spiegs, prolly figured it was her last shot at motherhood. gave the marriage thing a go, cuz parents. but then seemingly had a foot out the door before young sammich could walk and talk. If Spiegs is only seeing the kid every other weekend and paying child-support, he should be able to get the kid every other week, for the entire week. esp since the kid hasn't started school yet and spiegs has a job that facilitates being home with the kid
