In most of the games I have watched and listened to, the wind seems to be relatively neutral. I recall a few times that the broadcasts have noted the wind blowing out and were surprised that more homers weren't hit.

The weather has been hot and very humid in the burbs. At Wrigley, the temps are normally much cooler than the burbs.

It is my guess that the opponents are largely patsies this year. There are really only a couple of solid teams in the NL.

But Arrieta gets some of the best, if not the single best, amount of run support in baseball.

Has Arrieta pitched better than Hendricks this season? Absolutely not.

But Arrieta is 14-5 and Hendricks is 11-7.

I wonder if the contract extension not getting done has affected him more than we realize?

Big money to be made after his contract is up and the pressure of trying to duplicate last season have completely destroyed him.

He's really bad. He looks a lot like he did in Baltimore with his command.

I wouldn't even put him in the playoffs rotation at this point.

A part of me wants to run over his head with an atv but the other part of me feels bad for him. He has to feel humiliated.

I think at this point, I'd definitely go with Lester in game 1 of a playoff series.
