Hub has questioned Ted's role in football decisions recently because of the season ending presser it was revealed Ted does sit-in, and have a say in football decisions. Ted was the guy who fired Hub from Bears WGN so there's no love lost.

Is the business side of Bears football going so well that Phillips is untouchable?

Forbes wrote a few years ago that the franchise was undervalued because of its business operations.

As has been discussed here numerous times the fortunes of Hub's family business is completely dependent upon staying in the good graces of another family business.

Like many the print end of his business has been forced into less lucrative digital platforms, so he is now totally dependent upon the Bears organization, if he pisses off Virginia or George and they no longer allow him Halas Hall access, his kids and grandkids have to find other lines of work.

In may ways the two businesses are similar, but the Bears have built in antitrust protections which almost entirely eliminates competition.

This is very true.
When Hub was first launched by the Bears, he took his shots for a short amount of time, but has reigned it back in toward the company line.

I like Hub overall, but he has his flaws and can be an ass from time to time.
