to be fair, you are now 1/2 way to possibly a vaporeon out of that 10k egg. to look on the brightside. although the last 5 600+ eevee's i've evolved have been either flareons or jolteons.

level 22 here. beyond 20 its pretty nuts how much you have to evolve/play to get higher. there is a level 30 dude in our neighborhood. thats insane.

You can pick which evolution you want.

Rename your Eevee to Rainer before Evolving and it will become a Vaporeon.

Sparky = Jolteon
Pyro = Flareon

Eevees are common around my home and office. I have a bunch of evolved ones.

I am also level 22.

you can only do it once if you don't already have that one. trust me, i've evolved plenty of eevees to flareons that are named rainer. i'm having good luck now. i have 5 1800+ vaporeons now.

Okay.

But is it sillier than four man raids on repeat in order to loot grind with the hopes of getting the same equipment but rerolled with better statistics...for weeks and months on end?

All 'collect a bunch of digital xyz' video games are pretty silly. But they are enjoyable... with increased enjoyment when they are accompanied by a bit of competitiveness and fun among friends.

I wouldn't know. Never been on a 4 man raid.

My stepson begs us to take him down to the Kenosha Harbor when he stays with us so he can do his Pokemon thing. I'm not kidding when I say on a
Friday or Saturday evening there are hundreds of people wandering around down there playing the game. I still don't really know anything about it.
I was waiting for the boy and texting my wife something and someone sidled up next to me and started talking some Pokemon talk. I had zero idea
what he was talking about.

Ironically, the pond behind my apartment that leashyourkids failed to catch any fish at is a Magikarp spawning point.

I swear it was a 5K. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember being awfully pissed off about it.

I mean...it could be a bug. (GEDDIT?!?!)

But seriously...game is bugged so it could have happened.

That results should be more balanced between types of eggs..and it shouldn't be weighted. I've hatched a ton of 2.0 km eggs but 90% are either Pidgey, Rattata or Weedle. I've gotten one Charmander and one Pikachu from 2.0 km eggs. No Squirtles, no Bulbasaur, etc.

Eevees are common as hell...and they aren't regional. Stupid to be a 10 km result.

I'm ashamed to say I spent like 5 minutes driving around Ogden / Randolph yesterday night trying to find a Snorlax that came up under Nearby. Without any luck.

I do have a 10km egg that is 8.6 / 10 ... wish me luck.

Luckily I just hand my phone to my son when we are driving and he can play while we drive home. The other day he saw a Lapras on the nearby so we drove around a bit and ended up finding it.

God's speed on that 10K.

The downtown area by me is still pretty full on the weekends but since school has started up its not like it was.

Once winter hits, this game will officially be over. No one is walking around with their phone out during January and February in Chicago.

I still see folks walking around pretty consistently...especially the Biesterfield area or downtown Arlington Heights. And the city, of course.

But I'm sure it isn't like it was in the first couple of weeks. It shows people don't log in daily like they used to.

But I think the game will be reinvigorated once they add additional generations (there are like 6 of them?), trading, battling, and refine the tracking system to that version in beta or some other version.

People in the city walk 365 days a year. This game was definitely designed around more populated areas. No...people won't be walking just play Pokemon Go...but I think walking to just play Pokemon Go is not one of the major ways most people play the game.
