A 3 hour Smackdown PPV just sounds awful based on this roster, though.

There is a huge gap between the top tier and the rest.

There are 5 legitimate main event guys...Cena, AJ, Orton, Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt

The mid-card is Miz, Corbin, Crews, Ziggler (shoehorned into the main event) Shelton Benjamin, and Rhyno (I guess)

The Tag team picture is 2011 levels of terrible

The women are well set up for old 3 minute Divas matches (Becky Lynch and Nattie are the only 2 that are really worth a damn).

I mean, ugh...I hope I'm wrong, but Raw is just well set to be good. This is...not. Feels like a waste of AJ, Ambrose, and Wyatt.

Yeah, I guess they're high on both of them, Ziggler is a good worker, and I don't doubt that he and Ambrose will put on a great show. It just seems forced. Unfortunately, Ziggler has no real momentum going into this...kind of seems like cramming a square peg into a round hole. I feel like they're bridging the gap to AJ/Ambrose...

I guess if I had been the one writing the split, I would have put the Tag Team titles on Smackdown with the strong teams (New Day, Bullet Club, Enzo & Cass, etc), especially with the cruiserweight division being highlighted on Raw. Gives a strong midcard, considering the IC title picture is perfect for the up and comers. Would have also kept the hottest faction out there (The Club) together.
