Don't do it......I have had better luck with friends than family. Familia owes me $16,790 but whose keeping track.....most I was stiffed by a friend was $800 :wink:

is that with or without interest? too big for small claims, i think. but if you can get a judgment you can levy/attach a lien against any property. garnish some wages.

maybe wait for one or both of them to come into some money and then offer to settle it for 50 cents on the dollar. tell em your kid needs braces or you need gender re-assignment surgery or whatever

My family is pondering the same question as Darkside. Our advice to my mother-in-law is not to loan out money to ANYONE. A couple of grand,maybe but she is being hit up for 5 figures.
