This team as currently comprised looks worse than last year's team, which I didn't think was possible.

The only sports saving grace for me will be the Blackhawks.

Holy shit this town is mediocre at sports.

Overly sensitive Cubs fans are NOT going to like this...

To the original point, this team has 4-12 all over them.

Did you expect anything more than maybe a miraculous one game improvement from last season?

This team is a year away from being a year away.

They have the easiest schedule I've ever seen and I still think they may not win more than 3 games.

thank god hillary's going to get elected so she can send me to a "Fun Camp" where i can get some much needed help in "learning how to have fun again" cuz HOLY SHIT.... between this bears team, my perpetual arsenal "lamest guy at the cool kids party" thing, being #1 in my fantasy baseball league from coast to coast (read: anything short of a championship = total disappointment now) and then just simply living in a reality that happens to have mirrors...... man oh man. SAVE ME HILLARY! I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO HAVE "FUN" AGAIN!

(yeah i'm not even being 100% sarcastic here, she literally had a speech where she talked about that stuff. at first i scoffed, but now after seeing the bears a few times i'm thinking "by cracky, that old shapeshifting reptilian broad from the sirius galaxy was right!" =)

Schedule just got easier with Romo out in week 3. No. They'll win at least 7. With breaks and injury luck, they can get to 9. Hopefully they get the tie breaker and get a Wild card with the 9. Then they'll get their ass kicked in the playoff game and that will be it.

WR's usually take a season or two to develop, so it's kinda what I expect.

But Floyd? That's a flat out bad pick. I wasn't crazy about White either but not based off of whether or not he had talent -more based off of not feeling he was the best guy available at the time they picked him combined with feeling WR was no where close to their biggest need at that time either.

What's your guesstimate for receptions by White?

hey walt, let's ring the what if bell and ask "IF you were running the bears who would their quarterback/s be right now?"

(really i'm not trying to scoff and be a passive/aggro dick here, i'm genuinely curious as to how you'd ideally wanna go about the QB position in a post-cutler universe)

Hoyer and Paxton Lynch

Well, putting injury aside and assuming he plays most of the season healthy..

I consider this his rookie year for what it's worth. If he catches around 60 passes for roughly 800 yards and 5 or 6 TD's I'd say that's a pretty solid 1st season for him.

There's so much that goes into a WR showing what he can do tho Vs almost any other position on the field. I mean, even if he gets open a lot Cutler might still miss him because he's either locked on to different guys or just doesn't trust him.

That said, he'll get his opportunities, and just by using the eye test we should be able to know what we're looking at over the course of the season. I'll admit that I'm not impressed so far pre season wise. But I'm willing to wait and see what he does in the regular season to form my in stone opinion.

With Floyd, I feel like I know what I'm looking at without needing the same amount of time -a tweener who was over valued in the draft that isn't ready to contribute right away and may never be. Which makes him an awful 1st round pick for a team that's desperate to get young talent that can play right damn now.

This is the correct answer.

I've never been more pessimistic about a Bears season than this one. What's the point in watching these games, if the offensive with Cutler can't do anything even in a pre-season game?

And then we lose seemingly our best player on offense today in Connor Shaw to a broken leg. Heartbreaking.

The whole thing looks totally broken. There's not even a foundation to build on.

I wouldn't get invested emotionally in this season. It's really not a big deal if you focus on other more important things in your life.

There's no reason this team should win more than 3 games, and that of course means they will go 8-8.

The preseason is not the place where coaches reveal their hand. I'm hoping the offense looks a lot better than this come September.

I'll be overly optimistic and have them down for a solid 10-6.

Should have cut Gould last year, he's bad..he cost us 2 games last season and missing chip shots in the preseason...not to mention he's a big mouth that doesn't understand that kickers-punters need to stfu and do their job.

Oh my god. There are a thousand problems with this team. Gould is #999, and RC Cola at Soldiers Field is #998. If its possible, pull your head out of your rectum for a bit, and get some fresh air.

This is gonna be a tough year.

Saw the Broncos game at Soldier - everything looked terrible. Even stuff on the sidelines that never made television. Miscues, confusion, etc. Yes, I realize it was only the first preseason game but not much is looking better.

Would be surprised if they can go .500 this season.

Turrible simply turrible.

You're an idiot, #1 problem is ownership..followed by the inept clowns they employ..next is players and the field surface...989  ....989 is no cheerleaders, a loud mouthed kicker who cost us 2 games last year is much higher on the priority list.

LOL. The Bears website headline reads "Bears struggle on offense, defense."

So, what are they good at?

BRB - I'm going to go buy stock in brown paper bags.

Cut out eye holes, slap a "C" Bears logo sticker on them and sell them for $10 each.
