Best Miz promo in years.

Sounds like you're taking shots at the Miz. He's always been a great heel.

Not at all.

I loved the Miz circa 2010-2011.

He struggled as a semi-face but his "Hollywood Star" character since his return last year has been great. And adding Maryse to the act has been a wonderful choice.

Yup, agree with everything you just said.

Anyone who didn't see the Miz promo last night needs to check it out. Top 10 promo of all time.

I wonder if Becky gave that "Miz-erable" pun to Cesaro.

I downright LOATHE the Miz, but that was a fantastic segment.

It's the perfect blend of "I know this stuff is fake, but damn, I think this part right here is real."

Watched the JBL Legends interview with Sting. Good stuff.

Sounds like Sting is holding off on surgery with the hopes of having his one final match with Taker.

So that Fatal 4 way was fun. Can't believe Owens is the champ

And an Owens who may be aligned with HHH.

And not Stephanie.

All around SOLID match.

I should've saw it coming, but I didn't.

I was wondering why HHH was helping his wife's boyfriend win, but then the swerve happened & it all made sense.

I'm with Jim Cornette on this one. Not in a banana sort of way, but a philosophical alignment of sorts.

I can't have my World Champion out there wrestling in a t-shirt.

I'll probably agree as I'm cantankerous and bitter like Corny, but what was his reasoning behind that opinion?

(or is this just from the existing body of work regarding Cornette v. Steen?)

I first heard that thought while he was discussing his disagreements with Steen & Generico back in the ROH days. And I don't think that's too much of an Old School thought to have.

I believe Steen fired back with something along the lines of "Not everything has to be the Midnight Express. Jim." I'm betting that exchange would've been hilarious to hear live and in person.

And now this courtesy of pwinsider via 411mania.com

Jim Cornette gave the following statement to Pwinsider.com, regarding Kevin Owens’ WWE Universal title win on last night’s Raw…

“Well, first off, it doesn’t matter to me personally because unless Owens is wrestling The Revival sometime soon, I’m not going to see his matches as I don’t watch Raw, but I am thrilled for him and his fans and anyone who enjoys his work in the ring. The one thing I will admit that I was wrong on with both Owens and El Generico/Sami Zayn is that I never thought they would change, but they did and for the better – they just weren’t going to change for what they were being paid by Ring of Honor! [Laughs] I’ve had a lot of people go after me on Twitter today but the reality is that we put the belt on Kevin Steen for a year in Ring of Honor and there was a reason for that. But, he’s won a title I don’t care about on a show I don’t watch, so it doesn’t effect me personally, but I am happy for him, his fans, his family and anyone that wants to see him succeed.”

Owens probably got tired of being compared to Frank Coztansa w/o the shirt.

Nobody notices the shirt.

Nobody notices that Reigns wears a vest.

Nobody notices that Undertaker wore a full body costume.

And nobody cares about Jim Cornette.

That last one is not what I would characterize as a 'factual statement'.

Nobody should care about Jim Cornette.

I agree with you completely up until stating no one cares about Jim Cornette. He is a legend and people still want his opinion on everything wrestling related, so obviously people still care about him.

With that said, he is wrong on his thoughts on a champ not wearing a shirt. I don't care what they wear as long as they put on a good show.

You're right. I amended it later.

To me he's like Chet. He was a superstar in his time but now is a miserable fuck.

I have no idea where else to put this, so why not here.

For some reason, all of the sudden my 'edit' button shows spmack's avatar, as such ...

Jim Cornette reminds me of posters in the B&B section here.

I hate the show. I don't watch the show. But here's what I think about what just happened on the show.

Because she's their most popular diva but a young, dumb party girl who doesn't know what's best for her. Getting involved (and obsessed over) with a middle aged guy, who parties hard and is going through a nasty divorce isn't too smart.

Trying to intimidate them to get them to split was a stupid move though.
