This has become a talking point recently - the bar is set too low on Trump and too high on Clinton.

Personally, I think that's insane.

The amount of attention every idiotic statement Trump makes is blown completely out of proportion although I guess he should be given some credit for at least not hiding from the press. The amount of negative coverage Trump gets (often deserved) vs. the pass that Clinton received on the email scandal not to mention the Clinton Foundation and her foreign policy judgment (where she actually had an active role) isn't even close.

I do think Clinton will win because the electoral map is very tough for a typical Republican to win, not even accounting for someone like Trump, but the race is tightening, which I didn't expect, but the public may be holding her more accountable, at least temporarily, for some of recent revelations about her dishonesty on the email front.

He's comfortable for voting for a lying, corrupt, dirty politician.

I think anyone who is looking objectively has to see that the media is giving Clinton the kid gloves treatment. She's pretty much hiding from them (and the public). They're probably waiting to see what happens at the debates, but she won't be able to hide from the press when she's president. And eventually, they'll lose patience with her approach. The media doesn't care if the people they are covering are complete assholes. They just want access. Look at Ditka. He was a total jerkoff, but the writers loved him because he always gave them a quote. If you're covering Clinton, she's making your job difficult. Trump writes your story for you. It's just wrong to say most people in the media aren't behind Clinton. If Trump has caught a break it's because nobody took him seriously for a long time. I'm sure many people don't take him seriously now. Much of the media simply seems incredulous over the mere idea that he could be president. Even some of the Fox people.

I would never vote for Trump but I think it is a huge stretch to think he is a white supremacist. His is a Trump supremacist, no doubt.

Yes, the idea seems to be that Clinton is being held to an objective truth standard while Trump is being held to an entertainment standard. But that's Trump's brilliance from a campaign standpoint.

Somebody needs to define these terms. "White supremacist" suggests skinheads or the clowns from the Blues Brothers. He's not that but I would assume that Trump believes that the white race in general is superior. I'm sure lots of people do. Same with the word racism. Racism. What's the deal?
