Riggle did some skits on the FOX NFL pregame shows a few years ago that were absolutely awful.

At this point I think people actually pay him to be awful ... I don't know why else he would keep getting work.

Giraldo was the "Roast Master," not Ross.

Agreed, Giraldo was the best ever. His roast of Joan Rivers was unbelievably great. My favorite now is probably Jeselnik (was he on this roast?) I also thought MacFarlane was good, especially on the Trump roast.

I am a Giraldo homer. His roast of Larry the Cable Guy is one of the top five greatest moments of comedy I've ever seen. It's like he worked himself into a lather prior to the roasts, but it was genuine. It wasn't some dumb screaming like Rob Riggle. After he died, they did a dedication video to him, and they said the producers always liked to put him on first so that he could break the ice and everyone after him knew nothing was off limits. Perhaps the most interesting fact about him was that he graduated from Harvard Law School.

Some other great ones he had were, as you mentioned, Joan Rivers... Flava Flav... Jeff Foxworthy... Pamela Anderson...

Also, even though he's tailed off, check out Jeff Ross roasting Shaq. That one is one for the ages. Ross was much younger and hadn't started dressing up yet.

The Riggle set was embarrassing. Coulter was better.

i first took notice of his obnoxious ass during Bravo's 100 Scary Movie Moments back in 2007 i think it was. for some reason they thought it was a good idea to include the upright citizens brigade (that included riggle) and the coors light twins.

riggle was instantly aggravating and every time he was on screen he had to chew it to death.

i agree with frank that he's fine in little bit parts. "the office", "the hangover", he was fine. his Fox football stuff is terrible too.

i've said this before about coulter, as much as i loathe her--she takes all of that shit in stride. unlike the "feminist" head hangers who can't take any kind of criticism...she gets absolutely mauled and doesn't seem to give a fuck. i think she actually encourages it.

Riggle is not A part of the UCB only loosely associated like Horatio and Cordoury were. You don't ever put him in my beloved UCB.

Coulter is playing a character on TV. People in that know her talk about how she absolutely plays the WWE heel character to move ratings. She is really used to being hated. I am sure she doesn't appreciate being filleted on tv but at the same time loves the pay checks and it isn't insulting to her because she isn't spouting her actual beliefs. She is Colbert with out showing that it is clearly a character.

I've heard something similar. It's definitely possible. We see a lot of men doing the same.

I have bo doubt this is true. She and Bill Maher are best friends. However, I have no higher opinion of her simply because she doesn't mean what she says. Regatdless of her actual beliefs, she stokes the fires of hatred. I may even hate her worse because of it.

take it up with Bravo. they included him in UCB.

i know ann coulter is playing a character. she desperately wants to be historical. she wants to be a "polemic". i think she is way beneath that, intellectually. my kudos to her is that she doesn't cower when she's rightfully anally fisted by those who criticize her. she laughs it off, balks at it, or begs for more. that is commendable compared to the modern-day "feminists" who want it both ways: "we are powerful!" "don't touch me, rapist! rapist! i'm being violated!"

I haven't watched these in awhile but Ross was always better at these than Giraldo.

"Flav, I'm not gonna make fun of you because you're black. Besides, that's like the fourth thing that's wrong with you".

His roast of Shaq is the greatest of all time too.

They were definitely the top two roasters though.

I'm not sure what the best roast moment ever was, but Norm MacDonalds set on the Bob Saget roast was comedic genius. Probably laughed harder at that than at any "outrageous" jokes.

No I agree it lowers her as a human. The thing is everyone think she was gotten is actually just playing into her business model. She loves it as she is collecting checks. Her character is working otherwise she is serving me a moon over myhami at Denny's.

She is the real life version of bear down. Any attention is a win for her she cares not if its positive actually prefers the negative. Kanye also loves to occupy this space. Every time he is complained about he laughs at those who don't get the joke and collects yer another check. This day and age a real viable way to make money is to be a professional troll.

the Lowe roast was solid because most of the jokes were just damn good zingers. i cant stand watching a roast where every other word is edited out because they needed to drop a fuck in for flavor.

The Dennis Lear Roast was funny.
Is that the one that had half the cast from the Sopranos just sitting in the background getting drunk?

Comedy Central tried to push him about 5-7yrs ago, with some quiz show. I liked him, but Americans don't always get British humor.(Original The Office)

Tony Hinchcliffe is one of the main writers and he is just a great joke writer imho. You should check out his special on Netflix. He also has a podcast show called Kill Tony that is pretty fun. It is a live comedy show where he gets a panel of famous comedians to critique people going up for 1 minute. It's very cool.
