Rizzo is like plain yogurt. Most of the Cub team is like this with what little personality they have being a creation of Maddon's super funny dress up events. Baez has a personality but it is similar to Castro's.

I don't even know what any of that means.

I hope you're enjoying all that White Sox personality this season. Is there a stat for it?

You were the one discussing Cub player personality in a Sox section, so it must be a topic of interest to you.

I talk about what you Sox fans want to talk about in Sox threads. Rizzo was mentioned.

We're fans of baseball teams... and our goals as fans is to enjoy winning baseball.

Do you feel better if your 70 win team gives great interviews?

Maybe.

Is that any different than feeling good when your 65 win team won the Attendance Championship?

Not sure a Cubs fan should be talking about this since it was like two years ago they stopped calling themselves the "lovable losers".

Don't put that on the fans. That's the stupid media spin. I've never heard a fan proudly claim the lovable losers phrase.

jimmypasta probably has MANY times.

I think he has also claimed that phrase during fits of blinding rage.

Come on. It was part of the Cub mystique for decades along with the goat and celebrating good players who played on garbage teams.

Lovable Losers is a media narrative. However, MANY fans are proud they've stuck with the Cubs through mostly shit.

What else are fans supposed to do? Sox fans celebrate Sale and he's been on garbage teams.

Do you think they will celebrate Sale like the 69 Cubs?

Sale will be the last Chicago White Sock inducted into the Hall of Fame. He will be treasured and given the Banks treatment by Chicago Sock fans.

I doubt many fans will follow the White Sox when they move to Las Vegas.

Maybe. He's one of the best pitchers of his generation.

Fine, but I still hate that grandstanding (& likely juicing) sonuvabitch. Hate on so many levels. I've never rooted for an injury, but...

And Drake LaRoche & throwback uniforms' biggest fan can join that prick and kiss my ass.

He's not even the best pitcher in his own city.

so one of the new narratives is that it was never Cubs fans embracing the lovable losers

Not even RPB is buying that one.

Don't you worry gd the White Sox have the market cornered on being unloveable losers for the next decade.

  I don't mean w/r/t "THE PLAN". I mean the decades of ineptitude that allowed the phrase lovable losers to gain traction.
