In that case I don't think they wanted them to lose. They did however embrace the fact that they always lost but had players to root for(20 strikeouts WOOOOO!) and it was almost like a badge of honor to stick with a team that was so sad and pathetic that anyone with a brain would have quit not only on the team but on the sport and the rest of the world thought they were idiots for spending their whole lives in such a wasted fashion.

has the Sox fanbase just become numbed to losing . It happens. It is the worst thing to happen to an organization, when you lose this long with no real hope in sight of getting any better, the lack of interest compounds to create a hill you cant come back from. Yeah, you will come back to a point if the team wins, but every year you lose more and more fans.

The absence of calling for Robin to be fired alone shows a lack of caring of what happens.

I feel for Hahn, because while he has to deal with the politics of the shit he got himself into, he is watching his team (THE CUBS) pull off some historical shit! Has to be quite situation for the ever reclusive closet Cubs fans he is and his desire to not only be like Theo, but be part of what Theo did. It's Hahns wheelhouse.

Oh I forgot. The White Sox losing is Genuine, so it's OK. Losing without any plan of trying to rebuild is "losing while trying" .

Thats like telling me that redoing your drywall for the 5th time without ever knowing how to do it, or how to fix it is OK. ITS JUST DUMB

The Cubs made the playoffs a few times while being lovable losers*.

Don't you worry gd the White Sox have the market cornered on being unloveable losers for the next decade.

You may not have heard but the Sox won a World Series in recent history.

Can anyone tell me the year, as my memory is failing me at the moment?

Artist Cub fans have composed songs and written plays about how lovable the losers are but it is all just one vast media conspiracy

Yes, you are.

I don't care what my team puts in the stands versus your team. It does not matter.

Sox fans that claim they are Sox fans but never go to any games...they should actually consider if they are truly Sox fans. That is all.

Outside of that, good teams should have better attendance than bad teams. And Cubs tickets are harder for me to get this year than they were four years ago. I like that problem. This is the extent of how much I think about attendance.

IMU also doesn't hate the White Sox because, ya know, doggone it, he just never really thinks about them. Wait--he's also glad when the Cubs play the Sox because it's the South Siders' World Series. Did I miss anything inside the Disaffected Cub Fan Rhetorical Quiver?

Who gives a fuck. We all know the reasons behind the attendance issue. Enjoy the Cubs baseball dominance. Getting involved in the Controversy d'Attendance is like making plans to get back at the girl who broke your heart in high school while Sofia Vergara blows you. Well...it's a little like that.

So shut the fuck up for a second and notice that I am not the one that brought up attendance.

I want the White Sox to be competitive. It makes for a larger focus on baseball on local media...and baseball is my favorite sport. It also can help keep my organization honest, as they feel they need to compete for the city's attention.

You really need to focus your issues with Cubs fans elsewhere.

The best thing the Sox could do is trade Sale, but I don't trust the current fuckwads in charge to do it properly.

I think if the Sox can put a really good offense on the field the sky is the limit for this team. I don't think MANY teams would want to face the Sox top 3 starters in a playoff series.

All they need is a centerfielder, left fielder, 2nd baseman, catcher, and DH.

They're so close

Just yesterday, Kirkwood referenced the Ligue incident. Why is there a double standard that Cubs fans can reference White Sox events from 2001 and 2002, but Sox fans are "living in the past" when they reference a WORLD SERIES title from 2005?

I'll get back to you when after I get done having to defend the Cubs for being loveable losers even though they have the best record in baseball. Let's talk present. Congrats on your canine attendance championship.
