Went to the one in Lisle today for lunch. It was damn good - great food, cool atmosphere with industrial type decor, and the PIZZA looked great, though we didn't get it.

Anyone else ever been here? I guess there's one in Berwyn, too.

How are you going to hate on DiGiorno? Its not great but it's fast and better than a Jack's pizza.

Too bready.

Jack's sucks, too.

When I buy frozen, I like the Gino's East thin crust.

Just because one thing sucks doesn't mean another thing is good just because it isn't as bad.

That being said, DiGiorno is fine. But I'd rather get Gino's or Connie's.

I'm a big fan of the Lisle and Berwyn locations.
They also have two carry-out places in Brookfield and Cicero.
It's not just a pizza place.
Their pasta sauce is the goods.
I love their mussels.
The desserts are incredible.
It's reasonable and the servic is very good.

Paisan's pizza is great.

Their service blows monkey chunks.

They're just finishing a huge makeover at the Paisan's in downtown Brookfield, plenty of seating, outdoor patio, completely new interior, and a slightly different menu.

i concur, but i've only been to the berwyn location. it was a hot spot for my theater folk at JPAC. the pizza was amazing, as well as some of their other dishes. but we'd have to wait sometimes an hour to get our food. we always joked that they must have new servers every single night because none of them seemed to know what the hell they were doing.

very spacious too.

Love DiGiorno's rising crust sausage pizza. It's our go-to frozen pizza. Often times 2 for $10 at the Jewels.

This is turning into The Organization That Eats and Then Rates Frozen Pizzas.

6:04 p.m.: Oven is turned on to 425 Fahrenheit.

6:05 p.m.: Leash thinks it is dumb that we haven't converted to Celsius in America, and hopes Lester Holt asks about it next week.

6:07 p.m.: Boyd finally shows up and says he was late because of traffic. Nobody believes him.

6:10 p.m.: Oven temperature shows 380... seems like a long time to heat an oven. Sarley says we should have bought some extra shredded mozz to put on top of the pizza.

6:11 p.m.: Chas finishes his beer and comments that they should go with 14 ounces as a standard bottle size. Maybe once we convert to Celsius this will happen.

6:13 p.m.: Oven finally hits 425 -- IMU unwraps the Connie's sausage and pepperoni. Douchebag throws some sliced jalapenos and bacon bits on one half even though there are some objections. Pizza goes in oven.

6:14 p.m.: Douchebag: "If you don't like it, eat the other f**king side!" Still fuming from his fantasy football loss last week...

6:16 p.m.: Concensus is that the Bears need to tank this year, but split opinion on them being worse than the Browns.

6:17 p.m.: shakes says Browns should finish last so they can draft the bad QB and save the Bears from making a bad pick.

6:20 p.m.: The dog's tail knocks Boyd's beer off the coffee table. Paper towel brigade to the rescue. Dog won't stop licking the carpet.

6:22 p.m.: Oregano, parmesean and red pepper flakes are removed from the cabinet and put in ready position.

6:24 p.m.: Chas speculates that even though Trump eats a lot of fast food, he probably doesn't eat much pizza.

6:27 p.m.: Dog finally stops with the carpet licking.

6:30 p.m.: Discussion around how quickly to cut into the pizza once it comes out. IMU is adamant that the pizza needs to rest to absorb its juices.

6:33 p.m.: Pizza comes out of the oven. Looks pretty good. Agreement that the jalapenos and bacon were probably a good idea.

6:35 p.m.: IMU keeping people from cutting at it, althought Chas does pick a pepperoni off.

6:36 p.m.: Pizza is cut and consumed. Overall opinion is meh.

Connie's frozen pizza gets a total of 2 out of 5 bag faces.

Frozen pizza should be microwaved. Nuke it for 4:30 and eat. No preheating and then waiting for it to cook. It's soggy and mushy and awesome. You want real pizza go to a pizza place.

I ordered a beer when we sat down. Waited. When we ordered food, I inquired again and she said she'd put in the order.

Ten minutes later, I called her over about the beer. She said, "Did you want that now? Most people want it to come with their meal."

I don't think that's accurate.

And then they had the wrong toppings on my pizza.

We actually hit this up tonight to try the pizza. I liked it, wife didn't, primarily because of the sweet sauce. Still, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this place before.
