No alcohol or drugs found. The driver likely didn't recognize the rocks in the dark.

This is too fucking sad. Too young, all the talent in the world, great face and personality that MLB could have rode for the next decade minimum.

Legit bothers me.

Yeah, it's getting me right in the feels too. Mattingly's press conference was tough to watch.

I'm not a big Barry Bonds fan, but I just know that dude is seriously shooken up about this. Even though he is the hitting coach, Bonds and Fernandez seemed to have a great rapport. Bonds even said he viewed Fernandez, "like my kid." Barry wasn't even at that press conference where the team, management, and other coaches spoke on Jose. Must be having a difficult time coping.

Yea, same.

No one cares either because some old, rich snob golfer died.

I care about Arnold Palmer. But he was 87. Not the same.

Was just watching some highlight mixes on YouTube, and this guy was so close to being a Kershaw level pitcher. Maybe he already was. The movement on his breaking pitches was so nasty because it still had plus velocity. His fastball seemed to average out around 97mph. The guy was just turning the corner on greatness.

False. Arnold Palmer was the complete antethesis of a snob.

There's probably something at the rock, but it makes sense for people to leave something at the stadium.

Dee Gordon led off the Marlins first with a home run. Teared up.

I just saw this post., Nas. That just sucks. It somehow seems worse because I had already assumed everyone was smashed.

That clip had me choked up a little bit. I couldn't imagine Dee Gordon's emotions while rounding the bases.

Gotta be drunk or a maniac to be driving a bit at high speeds at night...I keep hearing " no booze or drugs" that's horseshit..it takes weeks for toxicology results.

Tragic but a very unwise decision.

I wonder if it'll be uncovered as to why he was so upset.

It will actually make these guys look a lot worse if the toxicology report comes back that they weren't drunk.

Not that they care, since they're dead.

Shouldn't they put lights up for this rock bed? Just a thought. But they must have been going fast and couldn't stop until it was too late. And you probably shouldn't be going that fast at night anyway so you don't hit another boat. If they're going slower the boat lights would have shown the rocks before they hit. Still, put some lights there.

I don't know much about the water but lights would make sense.
