I agree and feel the same way about chicken wings.

Wings are the biggest waste of time out there. If I never ate wings again, I would be perfectly happy.

Thoughts like above are why you're exiled to Indiana.

I don't enjoy having sauce all over my face and fingers. I'd rather eat a boneless wing and get all the saucy goodness without any of the mess.

The bone slows you down so you don't inhale 100 wings.

I think it's completely the opposite. You can get a good meaty rib. Rib tips are a pain in the butt.

It's why I can't argue against ribs, it's just that the quality can be spotty at bbq places. I no longer have a "place" for ribs

I can see where tips can be a fatty pain, unless you grew up with them. Kinda like Marylanders eating whole crabs or folks who grew up on whole oysters.

I agree about trying to get BBQ at a restaurant. BBQ is done when it's done. The idea of ordering it kind of makes my brain hurt.

Unless you are absolutely on top of having things resting and ready to go with perfect timing for lunch or dinner, you're not going to get a good plate.

Rib tips are my favorite bbq dish, especially when served with good hot links.

And as a member of a 100% Polish-American family, I can assure you that this glorious food didn't make it into the regular dinner rotation during my childhood.

I would expect nothing less of you, maybe you DO qualify for Lodge member status?!?

No spare ribs and sauerkraut on your table?

Ribs are a fairly common Polish dish.

Yeah, nothing says manly quite like looking like a 3 year old while eating.

I'm against it. I don't eat anything that requires me to wear a bib... Unless its some sort of fetish thing and then I suppose I could be talked into it.

Braised ribs and sauerkraut is a common Polish dish, but it sure isn't comparable to bbq rib tips and hot links.

Braised ribs and sauerkraut were a staple meal at my house as a kid, made by my German grandmother.

for me its not that ribs are too much work, i love gnawing on bones. for me its that they are so expensive for what you get. full racks generally start off around 18 bucks at standard bbq places and go up from there. thats insane for a cut of meat that years ago was considered garbage.

that list is garbage too base on what i see listed in a few states. it just goes to show you that most people have 0 clue when it comes to bbq. its why so many people's secret for cooking the perfect rib is boiling it first.
