Brees and Brady have plus arms. Peyton's was above average at best.

Elway, Marino, and Favre had the strongest arms I've ever seen, and they won a bunch of football games too.

Take out Brees, and we're also talking about the 5 best QB's of all time in whatever order you prefer.

Brees doesn't have a plus arm. In fact, Sean Payton was credited with showing him how to throw a deep ball that involved him putting his entire body into the throw to get more air under it. He has great deep ball accuracy, but he has an overall weak arm.

Many would disagree with your top five. You're leaving out some guys with weaker arms. Steve Young, Joe Montana, Kyle Orton, for example.

Oh yeah, I did forget Joe Montana's linguini arm. Honestly, he's number 6 to me anyway.

He can throw the ball 60+ yards in the air with accuracy. He has a strong arm. He's one of the best deep passers in the NFL for several years running now.

He is known for deep ball accuracy thanks to Sean Payton. He does not throw with great velocity, and he is not considered to have a strong arm. Definitely not a "cannon."

His shitty arm is one of the reasons Grossman beat him in the playoffs.

Jeff George had the strongest arm I've ever seen.

Juice Williams could throw the ball 80 yards.

Wrecks didn't beat dick, he threw for 144 yards on 11-26 passing...fumbles killed the Saints. Bree's threw for 344 yards and 2 TDs.

A couple more cannon arms:

Michael Vick
Bobby Douglass

Brees's arm is probably average, but his accuracy is unparalleled.
