Not really. A third baseman with no glove needs his slugging percentage to be higher than .393, which is lower than noted power hitter, Alexei Ramirez. If he truly had gap power, the Sox would have found a place for him in this pathetic lineup.

He can't run, and he strikes out more twice for every walk he draws. The Sox are better off with somebody who can throw the leather around. He isn't some kid just waiting to break out. He is 28.

In 2014, he had 31 doubles (8th among 3rd basemen), 5 triples (3rd) and a slugging % of .416 (11th). So getting back to my original correction, yes he does have power, just not home run power.

he sucks man. give it up. 11th in SLG? Big whoopdeedoo. pitchers just laid the pitches in there so he would never walk. he defense was beyond horrible. unfortunate since he had the rarest skill which is actually being able to make contact. the rest of the stuff you should be able to improve with hard work.
