God damn it would be nice to have Dax. Granted the Bears would ruin him. Guy's just got it though.

The Bears would probably get this guy instead:

There is a nearly zero chance the Bears use their 1st round pick on a QB or one of the standout defensive difference-makers (Garrett and Peppers). Even if they pick 1.1 they will trade down and take somebody like Kevin White or Leonard Floyd, so there's really no point in rooting for a better pick because this GM has shown typical Bears cluelessness when it comes to 1st round picks.

Leave Hoyer in because it helps them identify which guys they have now can play in the NFL without wondering whether Cutler is the problem. If that means a couple extra wins who cares, the Bears will botch their 1st rounder no matter what.

Damn man, I want to be able to see into the future like you and 312. Are you using meditation or some kind of limitless pill?

It's safe to say K.White is a bust, but are you really panicking on Floyd? Most rookies make minimal impacts their first year. Are you aware of this?

Like was stated before, the Pace front office had a very good draft last year according to numerous respected football minds. The shortsightedness of some sports fans will never cease to amaze me.

I am not a Bears fan by any means, but I watch them every week. I wanted to like Pace, and I still do a little. But these 2 drafts, as well as having Fox as a coach is truly baffling. Fox as your HC means you think that you are a SuperBowl contender. If that is the case, why was Gould cut, Marty B traded, and Forte let walk? Makes no sense. If you are really rebuilding, why did you not draft a QB!?! And the switch to a 3-4......Really! Kevin White is a bum. I am not sure how highly he was rated coming out of college, but jesus christ, 2 seasons you can not stay healthy? He is the WR version of Ki-jana Carter.

If you pick a guy 9th in the 1st round, he has to show up and produce from Day 1. Pace has gotten zero out of his 1st 2 1st round picks, which was one of the main reasons Angelo and then Emery were fired.

I think you are correct with what you are saying, if I could add to it.

Angelo allowed Lovie Smith a little too much say, and Lovie has a terrible eye for telent. As far as Emery......The guy was literally clueless. I knew from passing over Chandler Jones for Shea is was a terrible GM.

I'm not going to defend Ryan Pace anymore than I have to. Like I've said MANY times, if this third draft is a fail then I'm completely done with the guy.

Yes, the Floyd pick does not look good through 5 games, but I'm holding out hope he finishes the season strong. He's got nowhere to go, but up. I wasn't a fan of drafting Floyd at 9, but we're stuck with him now.

I wasn't either, and it was a weird pick. Then, everyone said he was the best pass rusher on the board. He doesn't need to have 10 sacks this year to be successful.

Floyd is already 24, so he should look more than a finished product than a project. The guy is working on gaining bulk and staying healthy, which is pretty frighting for a top ten pick a year after losing your top pick for an entire year.

Luckily for Pace he has created a team that will give him another chance at drafting top ten.

I agree on all accounts.

Cutler is the problem. Hoyer is a better QB at this point and his stats don't lie. Has great touch on the ball, makes good decisions (besides the game winner, oh well) and will be a solid bridge QB to the new QB. Three, 300 yd games with a QBR of 120? Fuck me.

If the Bears don't draft a QB in the first round next year then they need to clean house.

So Hoyer and Mccown came in with the same weapons n put a stretch together that Jay could only dream of in his 11 year career...
