There were Democrats that wanted to push the issue with Gore/Bush further. Gore was at least smart enough to know that wasn't going to go well for him. But it's pretty disingenuous for the same media who questioned the legitimacy of Bush's presidency to act as if the insane babbling of Donald Trump is a threat to the Republic.
