Cool. RDR was a great game...I enjoyed it more than recent Grand Theft Autos.

RDR was incredible. I'd say the thing R* has always done best is creating immersive settings. Yeah Vice City and Los Santos were great but I think the openness of the West works better. I still have nightmares of Cougars sneaking up you from that game and then they put some in GTAV just to fuck with me. The voice actor for Marston was great, he had a real story and a twist you don't expect from games at the end. Also horseback riding works better than driving.

One of the greatest games of all time. I'm looking forward to this.

I didn't like/give it a chance RDR1, but that was before I developed a taste for these open world RPGs in the past 2 years. In the past 2 years I've loved playing GTA5. MGS5 and Witcher 3 so I'm definitely ready to fully embrace RDR2.

Also, after watching Westworld I'm especially fired up to play this game.

GTA5 was great, but in terms of "story" and "gameplay" I think RDR is better than both GTA4 and 5. (Don't get thrown off by the slower start.)

I think a game like Witcher 3 owes as much to RDR as it does to Skyrim and Fallout.

I ended up disliking MGS V. It was amazing for the first 15 or so missions but it ends up playing like a Korean MMO after awhile....pure grind and repetitive gameplay on the same small portions of the map.

RDR is my favorite game by Rockstar. I can't wait!

I'd say it was the high-water mark of the PS3 era. Great soundtrack too.

Best thing I can say about MGSV is that it was the best half a game I've ever played.

My problem at the time with RDR was I didn't like the idea of having to take a horse everywhere instead of a car. Seemed like it would take too long and get annoying. Obviously, after playing MGS5 and W3 I'm over that unreasonable bias. Very much looking forward to giving RDR2 a shot.

It's been six years since I've played RDR, but I believe there is some sort of fast travel?

I'm sure there is, but I don't even know if I got far enough into the game to figure that out. Like I said, I wasn't emotionally mature enough for this type of game back then.

I never got into open world RPGs as much as I would have liked. I either didn't have the time, the patience, or a combination of the two.

So is Scooter. Age != maturity.
