Tell you what, Sprinkles, you tell me what a great day today is. I can tell you what a great day it is, got my good night's sleep on that down pillow for one. For two? Talked to Billy last night. That's Billy Murray. If you know him well enough he's Billy, that great actor comedian. Groundhog Day, great, great flick. Ghostbusters. Hey, he's got a good feeling and you know what I do too. Gonna talk to Jesse Rogers today, so tune in for that. Tom Verducci, Sports Illustrated, great writer gonna talk to him. So how ya feel, Chicago? Feelin good, Cubs fans? I know I am. Gonna take the 'Vette out tonight, split a bottle of Beringer with Mindy. Awesome Friday, folks.

Take some calls...

Hey there, Sunshine, thanks for the call. I was talking to Billy the other day. That guy, great guy. Loves life. He crashed some couple's wedding pictures in Central Park. Wonderful. I sent them some down pillows. We're going to go to Lou's Saturday night after Game 6. Gonna take the 'Vette. Jared, set my friend up here with some Shari's Berries from Berries.com.

Hey, Kap-Boyardee! Thanks for taking my call. Still waiting for my Blackhawks calendar, by the way. Quick question for you... Other than Lou's, where do and Mindy go for good Italian food in the city? I'll hang up, roll my braciole and listen for your answer. Go Cubs!

Edit: I'm playing softball this weekend and have been in a bit of a slump. I need a competitive edge. Any chance I can borrow your bat and wear your underwear, Kapper?

Hey there pudding pop, Francesca's on Taylor is the place to go. Great gravy. Good people. Wonderful desserts. Was just talking to Dee Snyder...ran into him in Florence at Trattoria Gargani last summer. Wonderful steak florentine. I told him, Dee, baby, when you and the rest of the Sisters come to town, hit me up, you, me, the boys, we can meet up on Taylor Street for some great eats. I'll drive down in my 'Vette, it'll be great.

Jared...get this guy a pillow and a Lou's gift card. He needs some softball help.

Take some calls

Hey Kap, can you confirm for me that the pinnacle of life is when you get that picture with Michael Jordan? I bet your wife loves that, you know, about as much as the evil villain goatee that you rocked for a couple weeks back around 2010-11.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks, Honeybunch. MJeff and I are tight. He told me to grow the goatee back in 2010. Good times. We were on our way to Harry Caray's, and I was giving him my killer Sangria recipe. Got to the restaurant, and we talked about my scouting of Rik Smits. Good guy. Great player. Rocked the 'Tee for a couple of weeks, until it scared the kids. Mindy asked me to shave. I sent her a pillow and a pajamagram.

Jared...let's get this guy a gift card to Harry Caray's...tell him to go see Frankie O.

Hey there Twinkle Toes, love David Byrne. Good man. Great musician. Weird eater. Said he didn't care for Lou's. I told him he needed a better pillow. Got him a nice down pillow, a pajamagram, some Shari's Berries, and a nice bottle of Pinot from my friends at Binny's. Told Ed Vedder about it, he asked me for some Shari's Berries, too. Had Producer Jared call promotions for me.

Take some calls...

What's goin' on there, Buttercup? Jim's a good man. Got him a good deal at ProFlowers.com. Sent him a bouquet and a large pie from Lou's. I'll tell you somethin', there's no good thing that comes from grudges. Used to have a back and forth with a neighbor. I told my good friend Jim Belushi about it and he gave me some great advice: Take the rake, and leave the leaves. Gotta be onto somethin' from the guy who did According to Jim and Mr. Destiny, phenomenal man. Sent him a pillow. He still thanks me for it.

See who else is on the line here.

Hey there, gorgeous. Thanks for listening. I go with a few different brands, actually, but my go-to is Paul Smith. I also mix my wardrobe up with some Armani Collezioni. Phenomenal brand. Speaking of brands, got to give a shout out to Belmont Peanuts, gave us a nice gift basket. Love their cashews. Sent them a down pillow. Best place for peanuts in Virginia. Snuggled up to a Lou's, courtesy of Mindy. You know they can't get it out there, but we got connections. Beautiful country out there. Stay tuned, later we'll be talking to our guy Todd Hollandsworth. Holly will give us the scoop on what to expect from the Dodgers, Cubs Game 6. Also gonna chat with an old buddy, Chris Mullin. St. John's. Scouted him pretty good back in the day. Classic. Phenomenal kid. Hung in there.

Let's take some more calls.

Hey what's goin' on there, cupcake? I'll tell you what, I don't really like to push the politics. Learned that when I worked with John McDougal. Ol' Johnny told me, "Hey kid? When someone asks you if you like Dukakis, you just change the subject." Nothing good comes from that, my friend, nothing good. Sent him a Vermont Teddy Bear for his kids. It's a tough one, knowing Trump like I do. He was a great promoter of "Hoop Dreams" back in the day. Me and Artie Agee helped him decorate his Christmas tree at Trump Tower years ago. Got him some Lou's coupons. Pretty sure he still uses them. Phenomenal, good taste, fair man. Back then! I don't know what he's up to now, what he's talkin' about. But I'll tell you what we're talkin' about comin up this hour. We got David Haugh on the line, gonna break down Game 6. Talk some line-up, look who's missing? JHey. Get yourself some pillows, snuggles, and get locked in.

Let's go to the phones.

Kap, is it killing you to be relegated to on field post game duty rather than being in the clubhouse with Eddie Vedder?

Hey there, Sugar Tits. As soon as Holly and I are done with Cubs NLCS Post Game Live, Ed, Billy, and I are gonna hop in the 'Vette and head on down to the Lincoln Park Lou's and party like it's 1945. Such a great NLCS. Jon Lester, NLCS MVP...good guy, cancer survivor, Cy Young winner, frequent guest. Totally deserved. Javy Baez, great kid, loves the Lou's. Gonna set them up with some nice down pillows so they can get their World Series rest on, and bring this city a World Championship for the first time since 1908. Great times.

Jared...get this guy some Shari's Berries and a nice Bed Bath and Beyond gift card on us...take some calls...

Hey Kount Kapula!

What are some suggestions for a manly-man quality Halloween costume this year?

I'll hang up and listen for your answer, Doctor Kapenstein.

What's going on there, Pookie Bear? Love Halloween...dressing up in costumes, sending the kids out for candy, scary movies, great times. I was thinking about growing out the 'Tee again, but Mindy told me that if I did, she was going to take my down pillows away. I asked Billy this the other night while we were at Lou's after the game, and he said, "Hey, Kap, how bout you know, you just go as you...manly-man costume, ladies love it." I said, "Billy, spot on, what better to be than me?"
