I think Lil Danny's love of plans and completions of them mustve started when as a youngster he saw Billy Jack tell that guy he was going to take his right foot, and whop that guy on the right side of his face and there wasn't a damn thing he was going to be able to about it. BILLY.JACK.TOLD.YOU.WHAT.HE.WAS.GOING.TO.DO.

Winning the most games in the regular season is more important than winning the World Series.

It was nice of them to give Jed a pity interview and act like he was the one who made the decisions that got them all these good players.

I picture Theo and Jed playing some sort of made up office game with the loser having to go on with B&b.

Jed: Come on man, best two out of three!

Theo: Fuck you, pal. They're yours today!

If not, I guess Dan and Terry won't be placing his satin jacket with "Cleveland Mike" on the back on his grave.

I only listened for 10 minutes on the drive from the train to the house, but even that was almost too much. Terry ripping Adrian Gonzalez for hitting it right into the shift, and Dan giddily stating that "you can bet the Cubs are looking at spray charts of the Indians as we speak." No shit, Dan...

Right. And the Indians are not looking at spray charts? Every team looks at the spray charts. They do it for a series in April for the love of God. Man, Dan is so wanting to push this "Cubs are smarter than every other team" thing.

here's the thing...the Cubs could have some proprietary things that put them a leg up...Dan just doesn't know what they are...

so he flies back to banal things that every team does and sells it as the Cubs being smarter. Even though on that stuff they're not. That's my take...

I hate myself today. I was so pumped about the Cubs and to hear Uncle Teary's return that I let my guard down.

I was standing there motionless enjoying Boer's revitalized sports talk that I didn't see it coming.

Like a fire hydrant on a street corner, I was defenseless when Bernstein trotted by, lift up his leg and whizzed all over my excitement. His negativity, hatred and condescending attitude toward Cubs fans and listeners is abysmal.

He truly is a miserable, fun sucking slug. It's all my fault. I should have tapped out after tranny like you other guys. I hate myself today...

Laughing about people going to the cemetery was bad enough but to laugh right at a caller about it was a bit too much.

How many ways and times does he have to tell you (the listeners) that he hates you before you believe it?

The only time he ever expresses any appreciation for listeners of the station is during some weepy anniversary type event.

That's the thing about Goff. He's such a hypocrite. Like Bernstein, he loves ripping on the stupid fans. Cubs fans are stupid for crying? Ok, Goffer. Big tough grown ass man.

Goff cries like a baby too. Just today, he was reflecting on how he came back to the Score at the perfect time with the Cubs doing well and coming to the station. He was choking up while saying it. But the dumb ass Cubs fans are stupid for crying after making it to the WS? That's not cool according to Goff. His crying for his reasons is cool.

He cried when he said goodbye to Terry and Dan before he left for Atlanta. Like I said, today he choked up when he greeted Terry's cracker ass for his return. Then proceeded to slurp Terry like a puppy does when his owner returns home.

Years ago someone here said that Bernstein is a dumb person's idea of what a smart person sounds like.

Dave in Champaign. I loved that quote. Iirc, he said: Dan knows a ton of stuff, but he is constitutionally incapable of critical thinking. He's a dumb person's idea of a smart person.

Any sliver of doubt was erased today. The City of Chicago, Cubs fans, players and families have been waiting decades for a return trip to The World Series and this mook can't say one nice thing about it? No, he ridicules, teases and disrespects them. C'mon, man!

As if the Cubs are the only team that shifts. EVERY. FUCKING. TEAM. USES. SHIFTS. It's not just random for everyone but the Cubs either. The thing is though, as the data is coming in and the sample is growing, it's becoming clear that all of these radical shifts are actually doing very little, if anything, to reduce BABIP.

Bernstein didn't cry for Terry. Neither should Goff. Goff always takes his cues from Bernstein. Today, he failed.

Will Goff cry when Da Ma Na returns to the Score? Yes. But for different reasons. Not out of love. More out of fear and anger.
