Back in the mid 90s I called Murph's show (only time I've ever called the station), and as a strange reward he sent me a picture of the traffic lady at the time, Marlen Gutierrez. She had a very hot voice, but the picture kind of ruined it for me.

Boers used to call her "El Fur-Pio."

I don't think Laurence ever contemplated quitting, though.

But that was back in the days before everyone at the station had the utmost respect for women and homosexuals.
