however they all shoehorn the Cubs being on 670 as one of the reasons the run has a big deal. they don't realize no one cares.

Yeah, they started that about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Funny thing about it was shortly after WGN Radio lost the Cubs to WBBM, Steve Cochran took the low road. For a while there, Cochran peppered his morning show with some pointed sour grape zingers busting on the Cubs. It was unfortunate after so many decades of such a wonderful relationship and tradition between WGN and the Cubs. He eventually stopped after a few weeks but it was unsettling and changed my opinion of Cochran for a while. I would bet there's a bit of regret on his part if truth be told.
