MLB Network is replaying last nights game. I'm flipping between the two. :)

Hossa has been playing pretty well the last few games. Still not a big believer in the Avs this year, even with Roy no longer there to be counterproductive.

Two goals for Hossa, two assists for Keith, and a 38-save (!) shutout for Crow. That's the kind of, as the British would say, right proper thrashing you need to give a bullshit team like the Avs.

I passed out after the second period, but in what little I've seen of the Hawk the past week or so, it looks like the team is starting to settle down and the young guys are figuring shit out. At least I'm now a bit more comfortable watching, as opposed to the first few games of the season where it looked like they were a bubble team at best. If they can keep the PK on track, they could be contenders again.

Yes, the puck movement is much better. They started slow and got a bit sloppy with the clears near the end of the second, but overall a solid game. Crow and Hossa was huge. Team is gelling.

2nd in goals per game overall in the league.

Hawks getting luck to start to the season as they're getting outshot by 5 per game.

The Blues loss and Avs win might skew that quite a bit, as both teams were completely firing at will on the Hawks, but in general, yeah, it does seem like opponents are outshooting them.

getting blasted on the PK for 2 weeks will tend to do that to the shots against stat.
