Gotta hand it to them. They have been a fun read today.

Brick bricking.

JORR doing his thing and pissing off Sandy and IMU

dolphin displaying his variance skill and a fading fastball.

Frank being his loveable self.

Our crazy dysfunctional internet family has been on fire the last few weeks. It has been a joy to read, thanks for making this glorious time even better.

I respect Sox fans who are still Soxing. They didn't need us to pretend we were happy for them, we don't need them to pretend they're happy for us. I hope the crosstown rivalry gets going again; they're the only interleague games on the schedule that ever matter to me.

I am happy for the Cubs and their fans. This is just over sensitivity.

I challenge RFDC to actually provide what I said that was all that bad yesterday. I believe the worst thing I did was laugh at the idea that the final game was the best baseball game in baseball history. I also said that being a Cubs fan will change and it will.

Deep down, I think a lot of Cubs fans WANT the Sox fans to be really upset. Honestly, as I said in 2005(and FavreFan can confirm because we argued about it a few years later), I don't really care what happens after that. I want to witness One(1) title for each of my teams in my lifetime and I'm good. I was even happy to see the Cubs do it for the same reason even.

Yep.

In 2003, I couldn't imagine having to deal with Cubs fans after winning a World Series Champion.

After 2005, I didn't care and wanted to have Cubs fan friends experience that euphoria. It took a bit longer than I hoped, but they finally have it.

This is the attitude both sets of fans should have.
The most perplexing thing I found about the whole Cubs title run was the overwhelming need (from Cub fans) the for everyone to root for the "Cubbies".I just can't wrap my head around it. I interact with the public on a daily basis and everyday I had to hear the same tired ass shit. "But they're from Chicago". This is a flawed argument. Can't we each just root for our respective teams and leave it at that? The whole thing felt like a month long time share seminar. Sheesh.

I have no issue with Sox fans on here.

It's a good mix. They're often wrong but I deal with people with bad opinions on a daily basis.

If Cub fans want Sox fans to be upset, they've come to the right place at chicagofanatics.com.

Another historic event this week in Chicago. It hasn't been 108 years, it just seems like it.

one thing i can say for sox fans (and even cubs fans alike) is that they've pretty much had all year to get used to the cubs being the no-doubt best team in baseball. it's not like some scrappy upstart team in 2003 or even a surprise division winner in 2005 rose up to carpe diem, this outfit was being compared to the 27 yankees in terms of historical kickassitude since the 2nd week of the season or thereabouts. really the only big celebration here is that the cubs didn't actually blow it, tho they certainly gave us a few golden opportunities to think/troll otherwise (in the end i can just refer you to my avatar) =P

Since 2005, the Sox fans have clung to that Championship as if it made them FAR superior to the Cubs. The fact is, they only had 3 WS Championships to the Cubs' 2. It's not like the Sox became the Yankees after 2005. But, they had one more WS, and it was more recent, so it was rubbed into the face of Cubs' fans constantly as their proof of superiority. It's really all they had, because the Cubs' fans have the better ballpark, higher attendance, and the local and national media love.

That argument of the most recent WS is now gone.

And so are the better ballpark and the primary reason for the local and national media love.

Are you going to visit the cemetery if the Cubs repeat? I'm not sure you even know who you are anymore. It's sad to see men lose themselves.

And yeah, Sox fans poured one out for grandpa in 2005. There's even a cartoon on the wall of Shinnick's with Grandpa Shinnick doing it, but the losing was never part of the White Sox fan's identity like it was with the Cubs and Red Sox. For Sox fans losing just sucked. It wasn't romantic. Nobody was devoting millions of words to suffering of White Sox fans and conferring some phony nobility upon us.

You've lost your "nobility". Who the fuck are you now?

Do they take the World Series trophy away from every other team that has won now that the Cubs finally stumbled in to one?

I never said you said anything bad. I gave all you guys a shoutout. I said you guys made this happening even more fun.

You guys have been an enjoyable read over the last few days/weeks.

I don't want you to be upset. I don't want you to be anything.

Keep up the good work fellas

Since 2005, the Sox fans have clung to that Championship as if it made them FAR superior to the Cubs. The fact is, they only had 3 WS Championships to the Cubs' 2. It's not like the Sox became the Yankees after 2005. But, they had one more WS, and it was more recent, so it was rubbed into the face of Cubs' fans constantly as their proof of superiority. It's really all they had, because the Cubs' fans have the better ballpark, higher attendance, and the local and national media love.

That argument of the most recent WS is now gone.

Do they take the World Series trophy away from every other team that has won now that the Cubs finally stumbled in to one?

All of them but the 2005 White Sox the greatest bunch of fakesters to ever win it all.

No worries. They all now know they are a pebble in a mountain of Cubs rocks. Devastating to the petty assholes. Screw em.
