I like Maddon and think he's good for the Cubs despite his bad World Series... but I have to admit I won't mind not hearing from him this offseason. I liked hearing his interviews at the beginning of the year, but they became tedious after awhile. Hopefully, I feel differently next year.

I think Joe probably has 3 years, maybe 4, left. Either they win it all again, and he can go off to some drug-fueled retirement, or they don't win it all again, and his approach will grow tired.

Either way, I think after that, the job is David Ross' when he wants it. And I think Ross will be a better manager for a longer time.
