It's often said that the "Jews run Hollywood". So Dan took the leap that Arrietta's comment was anti-semitic. Makes perfect sense for an insane person like Bernstein to make that leap.

Celebrities said they would flee the country if Trump won. Trump won, so Arrieta told them to follow through on it, much like Chus tells deadbeat Scorehead to pay the bet he lost. This means that Jake Arrieta hates all Jews.

Not as many people view things through that lens as you think. The hyper-focus on where one came from or what their heritage is is much stronger in urban areas. Arrieta's from smalltown Missouri, right? No way is he making that connection.
