A conundrum wrapped in the tedious drippings of an overcooked duck confit.

There is literally no other way to describe being a Bears fan.

Bernstein is such a fool.

They say a good writer knows their audience and tailors their work to it. I don't think Bernsie knows whatever audience he has and he force feeds them drivel.

His work is pure vanity.

I think it was some of his better work.

This year is weird, I have never seen Bears fans so "accepting" of the situation. I remember in years past you had the "billboards", the "Protests" outside of Halas Hall. I don't see a lot of that. Bears fans seem "resigned to the fate" of this infinite shittyness.

That's worse for the Bears and the NFL than anger.

This has been the best years for Bears fans since 2006. This is a happy season and not a sad one.

There actually is a future to look forward to now.

A top 5 pick in a tepid QB class. The QB they pick, they will probably screw up. Pace can draft, sort of, I think.... but Fox is a limp dick of a coach and they probably need to hit the reset button on him, but they wont.

What is there to look forward to?

I don't see a QB you can take in the top 4 of this draft.

Best case is they get a guy in the early 2nd if they end up picking that high.

People say this every year besides the one with Andrew Luck. That isn't an over exaggeration either.

Last year people were saying the same thing too.

The Rams got really unlucky or made a bad choice but the Eagles, Broncos, and Cowboys* are glad they drafted a qb last year. The Bears need to play the QB lottery too.

*-Incredibly lucky pick

Ryan Pace is the same Mensa candidate that told us there were no QB's were drafting past the 1st round this year.

They have the best defensive coach on the planet. I am comfortable giving him everything he needs to succeed and then filling in other pieces.

You can win with great defense and a good running game. Those pieces are kind of in place.

I am very rapidly coming around to the idea of Leonard Fournette in the first. There are going to be a lot of good QB's available in the early 2nd round, this draft may lack a frontline superprospect but it makes up for that in depth, I think its better than last year's class.

Fire pace. Ive always been suspicious about these hyper liberal overly sensitive millenials like Pace. We've got a straight talking coach who doest take any shit. Let him run the show, deport Cutler to north Korea, and have Foxy surround the team with no nonsense tought guys who get results. Enough with this hippie millenial mamagement bullshit.

Similar to Nas, I can never tell when you're trolling with your bears thoughts. I'm pretty sure 2010 would qualify as a better season than this one.

The consequences of that season were not worth being able to say we won a playoff game.

How about, "Repeatedly getting kicked in the nuts with a curl toed boot like the Iron Sheik used to wear".

An enigma saddled with the type of overzealous righteousness that can only be experienced when dining on a freshly baked brioche escargot paired with a 2002 Cabernet.

He was talking to Matt Bowen one day about coming to a football party of Bowen's and bringing one of his favorite wines. Bowen told him he wouldn't be allowed in.
