As corny as they were, the Scream movies were quite good for what they were.

Then again, I'm a sucker for self-aware movies that know they are movies. Cabin in the Woods is of the same ilk.

I enjoyed them as well. And once again, this series meets my trilogy theory.

1-2 decent films, and one that is a flaming bag of dog shit that is extinguished by hobo piss.

Star Wars. Jedi was no where near that bad or not as bad as Godfather 3. Indiana Jones had it but ruined it all with Crystal Skull.

If we aren't counting Star Wars because they all are under the Star Wars umbrella and reference the same characters, we cant count the Marvel Universe movies either. Thor isn't going to be a trilogy. Its just storyline set up for the overall universe.

If we want to get specific, a trilogy is a self contained 3 film series that has the storyline come to conclusion at the end.
