I thought this was talked about for a while? Maybe they were separated for a while and it's just become official.

The way Silvy mentioned it yesterday, sounded like relatively new news. I could be wrong, though

I actually feel bad about this. Didn't he used to talk about how she was the only woman he had ever been with?

I wish we wouldn't talk about these types of things on this forum.

If that meant what I think it means, that's damned rough, and I would have assumed damn near impossible in this day and age

Well, I think it depends on the personality and the approach they take in interacting with the listeners. You can't expect to make a living by making the listener feel like a family member and then expect those listeners to suddenly disconnect when you want privacy. The style of familiarity pioneered by Steve Dahl is now ubiquitous. And of course listeners are interested.

Terry Boers never talked much about his family or his illness.

I honestly don't understand how people married 10, 20, 30 years can get divorced. 1-2 years, OK, but what the hell? 50 years old and you're in the fast lane to death anyway. what the hell is so important that you can't get over it.

Maybe Jurk had #2. Maybe that's why he's not married any more

Maybe the thought of going to heaven scares them.

Well Jurko himself has mentioned it on air so I don't see what's the big deal that it gets mentioned here. Spiegel did nothing but humble brag that his rock n roll lifestyle landed him a biscuit then all of the sudden clams up about her, it gonna get talked about here and assholes on Twitter will ask about it . How much respect for privacy do they give the athletes they cover?

It was mentioned on his show and on the board earlier this year.

Village idiot Winnetka Steve couldn't seem to wrap his Cro-Magnon cranium around the concept.

Research shows that Cro-Magnon craniums have been found to do much better in tough mudder races.

I didn't think that was the case. In any case I'm sure he'll be fine now.

Any woman would be lucky to be with him. He's awesome and seems like he'd be easy to be with in a relationship.

Maybe it was just that she was his first. I'm not sure. I never really listened to their show much. Which got me thinking. It's sort of like how BRick said he was liberal but he likes conservatives more than liberals. I've always been a Score listener but I actually like most of the guys at ESPN better than anyone on the Score.

I met some friends at Waddle and Silvy's remote yesterday. Some of them were talking to Waddle about Jurko's divorce. I stopped talking to him after he got pissy and said he DOES. NOT. READ. MESSAGE. BOARDS.

 I'm not sure if you're serious, but Waddle would be an ESPN guy that I don't really like. Talk about privilege!

I'm serious. He's a turd. I've talked to him before.

And he did get pissy and say he doesn't read message boards.

last night as my wife gave me an attitude for not helping with the tree at 9:00PM I guess I figured how you might wind up divorced after 20-30 years.

The Captain and Tennille parted ways after 39 years. You will be in good company.
