WTF are you talking about. I sit in the 100's and it's fairly full each night.

Monday I received an email from the hawks begging me to buy 200 level seats for Tuesday. Said they would throw in an autographed picture.

What an offer. Their prices are too high.

The NHL product is shit this year and attendance should by rights be down across the entire league. Yeah, imagine that, no one wants to watch teams bumping the cap with mediocre rosters losing 2-1 in the shootout.

not sure what you're talking about, NHL has been great this year. Scoring is up last I checked. Great games every night, saw a barn burner last night between Edmonton and Philly.

A lot of the season ticket holders I know can't sell their tickets right now. The demand is there, but people don't want to shell out hundreds to watch meaningless early season games. I'm sure it will pick up again in late winter; though, i'm curious how things will look when the Cubs start again and the casual fan stops paying attention.

We try to go in December or before. They don't look as good Jan - March the last few years.

Did prices go way up across the board? We usually get tickets thru hockey or charity auctions. Last year thru hockey they were a little over $60 per ticket this year they were close to $100 per ticket. Prices are going to come back down at some point right?

You can buy tickets to tonight's game for $25/each right now.

Another "fair weather" hockey fan.

I put my tickets up on the Exchange for Friday night's game. As a season ticket holder, my tix are $78 each...but the team has instituted a tiered pricing structure to individual game purchasers. I was forced to list my Friday tickets for no less than $148. I couldn't find anyone to take them locally at face. Ended up eating 4 seats 300 level second row. I'll have to figure out how to list them on StubHub and quit using the Exchange.

$148 a seat to watch Darling and Raanta battle to a scoreless regular session in a meaningless December game. I wouldn't even pay $78 a ticket for that.

There's only one tried-and-true hockey town in the United States and it's not us.

That's unfair. Buffalo is half Canadian.

Well fuck me. I saw a Hawk/Rangers game last year that ended 1-0 in OT, and the same thing against the same team happened to me last Friday.
