The only time the weather in Phoenix is tolerable is wintertime. Miami is much more pleasant in the winter if you ask me.

San Diego is really nice too, but the weather in San Diego is perfect year round.

Same here. I'd like from them to get ahead of the Jags in the loss column and secure a top 3 pick. That would give them a crack at one of Kizer/QB from NC/Garrett.

Kizer? He looks like a huge bust, I'd like to see Jabrill Peppers or Jonathan Allen with that first pick.

I went to that as well, with three relatively young kids. They were very excited on the walk to the stadium with the snow falling. They wanted to leave soon after halftime with the snow still falling.

This time, I get the pleasure of attending with my wife. I will be interested to see whether she lasts longer than the kids.

Great answer to not remotely the question that I asked.

I am going to my parent's for Christmas Eve. My mom said she is having the dinner catered. I know she is older but she isn't that old where she couldn't throw her full efforts into making a Christmas eve dinner. I asked her what she is reserving her energy for, which didn't go over very well. She was such a good cook and baker but now she just won't put the effort in.

ah yes, Jabril Peppers, the ball hawing safety and his 1 career interception in college. That's the safety we have been missing all these years.

Guy is amazing, played like 15 different positions this year..he could play Safety or corner but I think he's going to be great, I want him on the Bears.

Jabril Peppers is a player you take with the #28th overall pick in the draft and he has a nice career and maybe sneaks into one pro-bowl. I want a bit more though with a top 5 pick.

I don't watch much college football but every person who scouts it for a living disagrees.

Actually, not really. Many pundits have been dropping him in drafts of late.

Nothing in there saying he's an end of the first round guy.

That article was quoting an anonymous scout, doesn't even have the balls to put his name to it..maybe it is disinformation and he wants Peppers.

At the end of that hatchet job they use two sources and one has him going 5th to the Jets and the other has him going 12th to Tennessee.

The bottom line is that he's not a top 5 pick. If you want to evaluate him as a linebacker, 1 forced fumble his entire career as well. He just doesn't make impact plays on defense. He's all hype.

Scouting and drafting players based on stats is probably a pretty poor way of going about things.

Alot of people think Peppers is incredibility overrated. You live in a vacuum of college football/draft talk if you haven't heard/read this.

Just find me one respectable/known outlet/pundit who says he should be drafted at the end of the first round. Based on what you're saying, it shouldn't be difficult. Everything I have heard or read has him going in the teens at the absolute worst.

supposed to be a good draft for pass rushers...keep drafting them

You see how a good pass rush has made a team of defensive backs who should be out on the street look serviceable this year

I was at the Houston game in 2004 and the history books tell us it was a -7 wind chill. It was so cold that MANY of the draft beer lines froze. The beer would form a layer of ice on top of it if you did not drink it fast enough. I ordered a hot sandwich just to warm up my hands. I was wearing multiple socks and my feet were still cold. I was on the Houston side and I remember when they announced the temp, some of the players turned around and congratulated the fans for showing up. The bathrooms were packed with guys just trying to get warm. It was one of those things that I would do in my 20s but not in my 30s.

Comparing him to Devin Hester is just dumb.

Hester was an amazing one dimensional player, but he was never considered a top of the draft player.

I have no idea whether Peppers will be a stud in the NFL or not, but every one that does this stuff for a living thinks he is a special talent and will be an impact player.

I was at that game too. Even tailgated. Geniuses that we were, we did scrambled eggs. Had a tough time keeping them from freezing while cooking them.

Today the Bears facebook listed the top 10 coldest Soldier Field games. I was at three of them. I am not going for #4 tomorrow.

Hub doesn't like him, so he will probably be a Hall of Famer.

Anyone who goes to this dump to watch a ten-loss team lose their eleventh in subzero cold is a Grade-A moron from Bovine University. By rights, there shouldn't be more than 10,000 people there, but DUH BEARS

RG: you want Cousins re-signed to big money this one off-season? I think they should let him walk. No way I'm paying him Rodgers money or whatever he'll probably get on the open market.

Aren't subzero temps more than ideal for Bovine grads?

I don't know what choice they have. Look at the QB market. I don't trust them to draft and develop someone better than Cousins. In Kirk I trust.
