Top three rookie class. Howard, Floyd and Whitehair look like studs. Another good draft class and the defense starts to look like something. http://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_ ... -nfl-teams

I like Barkley. Obviously draft another QB, but no problem going with him as a starter rather than bringing back Cutler again. Use the Cutler money elsewhere, and it's the makings of a good young team. Who knows what Barkley can do with some receivers and a healthy offensive line.

Agree in full. Pace picked some good ones this year and deserves a shot at another draft and free agent season.

I am totally fine with Barkley as a starter. I just hope they don't overdraft a QB. Best player available will work. Not sure how strong the QB class is this year but I'll assume since the Bears are drafting a QB, it will be weak.

Heard Pompei say that no Cutler/Jeffery is 30 million freed up.

Matt for sure. I don't think any of these guys are worth a #1 at QB. Go best available, and try to steal a cheaper QB later in the draft.

can't win in the NFL without a QB. search should've started 4 years ago.

Yeah. Pace went into win now mode with Cutler. That isn't erased because he made a few good draft picks finally.

Don't forget kwiatkoski, looks very promising.

Well, Hub has hinted that Fox was pushed as the hire from powers above Pace. I would not doubt that Fox wanted to win right away. There were reports that Pace wanted Mariota. If he had pulled that off (or been allowed to), then the Bears would really be somewhere.

Pace does get some blame for that, but what's the alternative? Start over again for the third time in four years? Think he deserves another draft at least, and with some better luck with injuries they can be compete in this division. Detroit is not frightening.

I have no problem with Pace drafting but maybe another up and coming young coach with sith some fire in his belly could turn this team into a playoff contender next season.
I would also bring back Barkley ,Hoyer & Shaw (remember him?) to compete next season. Barkley looks promising but almost threw 2 or 3 picks last game so the jury is still out on him.

Gase ...auto correct, smh

Adam Gase was the OC last year and he's now the head coach on Miami.

The current coaching staff has turned the defense around. Why mess that up by cleaning house?

Fangio has always coached D very well, make him the head coach and fire Fox.

If you make a list Pace has many more bad decisions than good ones that set the franchise back. If he is handcuffed by management that gives me less confidence he succeeds.

Agreed. Don't over reach for anyone, pick a player that can come right in and help the team. I do want them to grab a QB within the 1st 3 rounds maybe even the 4th tho.

Bottom line is, we need to to start adding some young QB talent in hopes of landing a future starter.

They must draft a qb with a first round pick.

Great way to keep your team in the top ten picks going forward.

Yeah because doing it once a decade has worked out so well. Get a qb and everything works a lot better.

Draft for need when the player doesn't fit the slot, and you are doomed to fail. I don't see anyone I like with a top ten pick. Qbs are always over drafted.

I guess they can wait ten years for a can't miss qb and then hope they have the number 1 pick.

Who do you want in the first round? Why does it matter if they take a guy with their first pick? Look at Goff and Prescott.

So there is not even a guy that you like, but they should draft whoever. Ok.

It is December. I'm not choosing a qb this early. I'll take any qb with a first round grade by the experts.
