Little rsg is a word-repeating machine currently. I tried "aluminum" the other night. Sounds like he's saying

This isn't a brag as much as it's just really cool (kind of a brag about my wife).

My wife has degrees in psychology and has always worked with kids who have disorders (while making very little - it's just her labor of love). When I first met her back in '08 or so, she was a counselor at a school for kids with special needs in this area. I used to attend their holiday plays and stuff. Good kids.

She left that job in 2010 and we moved to the East Coast in 2011. She continued a similar job when we lived out east, and she has a similar job now (though not in schools - she does at-home visits now).

Tonight, we went to Jewel, and there was a kid parking carts who my wife worked with back in '08 (or around that time). I remember him from one of the Christmas plays I attended. He was pretty severely autistic (and he still is - not saying he "overcame" it). We didn't notice him until he said "Hi Ms. Leash". It took her a minute to recognize him, but she soon did. We talked to him for a few minutes, and he told us how he is doing well, and he is in an elected position for his union! That was really cool to hear. And before we parted ways, he thanked my wife and told her he wouldn't have done this well if it weren't for her and one of her colleagues (Laura). That was pretty cool, man... brought my wife to tears. Life is good sometimes.

Nice story. Sounds like a great woman has really only made 1 bad decision since 2008.

I got the green light to drive today, almost 2 months after dislocating my right kneecap. It truly felt like freedom. I got my hair cut; I was singing along to Year Of The Cat when I was doing light Christmas shopping. It was glorious.

I am finishing in the money for the second straight week in a HUGE confidence pool. There are ~160 people in the pool, top eight and ties get paid each week. Last week, I tied for 4th. This week, I will tie for 2nd if the Jets win, and tie for 8th if the Colts win. I only lost San Fran and San Diego this week.

The problem for my wife is that I'm a know-it-all and still think I know more about psychology than her even though she has a master's degree. If I try to correct her or debate her on that topic, it is NOT going to be a fun day.

I went 13/15 this week in pick 'em and picked Cleveland  I will win $50 at least. Too bad I'm nowhere near the top in the overall standings.

If the Patriots win tonight, I will be in the money three straight weeks in the big confidence pool. I only lost Arizona, Indy, and Buffalo.
