Enjoyed an Old Style while out to dinner with the family last night. Sure it is not fancy but it sure brought me back. Didn't suck.

About 15 years ago, I was talking with some business associates that work on Long Island. We were telling them about Old Style, which they had never heard of. So one year I brought them a 6 pack. I assured the guy it was piss water. After he tasted it, I think he agreed.

The dive bar we frequented during and after college featured $2 pitchers of Dog Style, perfect for quantity-over-quality young, broke drinkers. We visited the new incarnation of the same bar for dinner last night- full-on hipster joint now, gourmet burgers, tuna sandwiches, mac and cheese, etc. They provide a ten page craft beer list- between myself, my sister and BIL, we were oh-for-eight ordering beers, each time the waitress politely saying "we're outta that, here's a sampler of something not-quite-similar beer instead (after a ten minute wait). I kept looking to order an Old Style, but they don't have THAT...

Give me Old Style over any of these hipster beers where you pay $11 for a four pack.

Love me some Old Style. Pitchers of Old Style and pizza together is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Old step is terrible. It is the beer of choice at Vito & Nick's though. So I'll have a few with my pie when I'm there. Don't really have a nostalgia for Old Pyle as my first Beer was a also terrible Schmitz.

Picked up a couple 6's of old pile 16 oz cans to enjoy during the Cubs playoffs. It just seem apropos.

Same here ... I think I was around 4. It looked nice and all, but if you're a kid sneaking your first sip and don't have any real idea what to expect, ain't nothin' gonna prepare you for that taste.

Same here. I was about 5. Had an Uncle that used to drink alot. He actually gave me a can of it while watching one of the old Saturday Night Special flicks (Cooley High) on ABC. Drank about a quarter to a half of can and knocked me right on out.

Put me in the "first beer I ever tried" column too. I remember there was a North Side/Old Style, South Side/Budweiser dynamic when I was a kid, but we may have concocted or imagined it.

First time I ever had an Old Style was at Wrigley about 15 years ago whilst the Tigers were beating the hell out of the Cubbies. Had a parking pass, sold a spare ticket well above FV to a Wayne Stylie type who chose to sit elsewhere and not behind the Tigers dugout with us, roasted a dozen or so Cubbie fans and watched a slaughter. You'd have though I had better feelings about that dump, but one day of happiness in that pile isn't enough. The lukewarm Old Style was horrendously bad.

Besides, my early beer stories revolve around my grandfathers who were High Life & Schlitz/Bull drinkers. :|
