for the first few weeks of the season loggains was god-awful; he got figured out somewhere around the 2nd or 3rd quarter and once he got figured out-- just like trestman's offense did in 2013-- the difference between logjams and tresticles wsa that the latter turboautist could adjust back and get that faucet going full blast** meanwhile loggains would be like "ok hey i saw on man vs wild that you can technically survive off of your own piss for a day or two and hey whaddya know i knew these bottles and jugs would come in handy..."

AHEM. all colorful attempts at wit aside, once loggains got figured out circa 2Q/3Q that was it for the rest of the game. starting around week 4 or 5 he seemed to get better, but idk how much of that was because captain checkdown [hoyer] would just throw 300yds+ worth of checkdowns all day and have the anti-cutler crowd like "SEE! HE'S TIED P-MANNING AND BREESUS FOR CONSECUTIVE 300YDS+ GAMES WITHOUT AN INT! HE'S RESPONSIBLE WITH THE BALL!" ---- yeah, but how many wins were you getting?

then by the time you got logjams' offense going it was like "hey cutthead's back! ....nope he's gone again!" then of course "hey this barkley kid can get rid of the ball real quick.... he's pretty alight!" then of course "lolwat? hey barkley when i said that you could get rid of the ball real quick i didn't mean 'get rid of the ball by giving it to the other team real quick!" and then 9 INT in 9 quarters of football [finishing with the 1st quarter of today's game] and uhhhh yeah. idk.

and then there's the whole fucked up part where like, man, if you look at cutler's tenure here look at how many OCs he had! seriously, i think there were only 2 times that jay entered a season where he DIDNT have a new OC/playbook/etc... first time was 2011 with martz [and that team was like 8-4 b4 jay broke his thumb making a post-INT tackle late in a ~38-24 type game against the chargers that had me saying the 2011 bears > 2006 bears] --- second time was year two of trestman and, uhhhh.... welp. you know? you know? sometimes hanging out with your QB in a remote cabin in the woods on a stormy night and looking into his eyes deeply enough to gaze into his soul and see if he's ready to "win football games" isn't enough when you got a lockerroom full of guys acting the fool now that daddy's gone [lovie] and the veritable substitute teacher is there with his stupid little hat and likely foggy glasses all "GUYS... GUYS... EXCUSE ME EVERYONE IT'S TIME FOR FOOTBALL" --- and then you hear someone from the class blurt out "MR, TRESTMAN PAYS FOR SEX!!!" and the whole team giggles and trestman is like "M-MISTER URLACHER I DON'T APPRECIATE THAT" while martellus bennett is texting someone like "man these guys are bitches" and lance briggs is all worried about if he's gonna get shafted on the lease for his new BBQ joint because they know he's a $$$NFL PLAYER$$$ and then brandon marshall is like "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH Y'ALL?!?! GET ME THE BALL!!" and then kromer's off to the side eating a couple'a half-stale hostess cupcakes like "man, i'm just gonna tell the journos that all of this is cutler's fault! he's got a lot of $$$ and i need my next job more than he does, dammit!"

yeah, and the years other than those they had visionary minds like mike tice taking over the reins of the offense... c'est la bears, no?

TLDR = honestly, unless you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater [most likely cuz you can't exactly put your finger on what that "fox stank" smells like] i'd actually want ho keep him around for some CONTINUITY, no matter how bad it is... and kind of hope for some rufus-carlin at the end of bill and ted's like *shrug* "they do get better!" =D

but hey, what do i know? i got friends telling me that cutler needs to go no matter what and even if they draft a QB in the 5th round they better start him in week 1 ("so he can jel with the young core here and start getting good experience") and if you're gonna do that i dont think it matters much if you literally dredged up the corpse of bill walsh to be your OC. you're what the spanglish call "el fuckedo" no matter what
