Sam Fels is cool because he acts like a big tough punk but I'm pretty sure he's a theatre kid who went to an elite private school. He'd fit here like a glove.

About what I had pictured.

That's really him? Not the guy who played teenage Howard Stern in Private Parts?

Yeah, I'm gonna say that grew into this:

Also, there's no way in hell a BWW would be in Elburn. Less than 15 years ago we had no stoplights; now we have two. Strangely though, we do have four different pizza options.

And a fine meat market.

I went to some little pizza place, sit-down place, in downtown Elburn about 25 years ago and it was tremendous. Don't the name or if it is still there but I always wanted to go back.

The only place I remember from that long ago was good ol Jim's Pizza. My parent's always went there and it was awful. The literally put 2 pounds of cheese on every pizza. If you let that stuff cool it was like your pizza was topped with a quarter inch of dead flesh.

More cheese on a pizza has never nor will ever be a bad thing.

Overall, it just speaks volume to this garbage notion that the Hawks are some noble, model franchise.

In terms of winning and marketing, you could do worse than to model yourselves after the Blackhawks. They have a lot of garbage people in their ranks, but that's any sports team. The problem is when we try to say that actually the Dallas Stars are a noble model franchise just because the internet has such a crush on the Stars right now.

That's true.

I just hate the way McDonough has polished the marketing of this team so impeccably and then Olczyk sings their praises nonstop on the telecast. You see all the McDonough cutesy crap and then when there are times to act with integrity, they fail miserably. Sure, I expect that a certain percentage of all athletes are going to be scumbags but I expect team brass to act with a little integrity.

They're doing their jobs as marketing men. It's our job as consumers to know better. No sports team is going to cater to the whims of a handful of hypereducated identitarians on Twitter because no one is on Twitter.
