For sure... They are now. I've been pretty sick lately so my wife and and I have had to sleep in separate rooms anyway. I just know the dog will be pacing the door all night to get his jaws on that fucking hamster. As long as I sleep, I don't really care.

My dog watches commercials with dogs in them. Im watching TV and having coffee, and she is laying next to me chewing on a Nyla bone. An Iams commercials comes on, and she STARES at the TV. Commercial ends and she goes right back to chewing.

Yet another Saturday at work and amazing problems.
I'm at a house where the furnace died and pipes froze and burst while the homeowner was away.
There is a river of ice from the top floor all the way to the basement... and the 1st floor windows have rivers of ice outside... so water was pouring out the 1st floor windows and freezing up out there...
Additionally there's ice rivers from the bottom of the siding by the foundation that flows all the way to the street... ice all the way to the intersection.

Man,that's tough. So is it your job to clean that up or do they call in a Disaster Team? I know they have companies out there for massive cleanups.

ServiceMaster is here doing the cleanup but I have to replace almost every part on this furnace to get it running... water is in every corner of this thing so the gas valve is bad manifold burner motors and safety switches...
I feel pretty bad for this guy.

Lets circle back to this for a minute. The hell do you have those kids throwing in the middle of January? Their season doesn't start for another 3 months. Get them playing basketball or soccer or anything. It's a long season. Save those young arms

I'm not a head coach but I have one at a time throwing off to the side at half speed working on form and accuracy. 15-20 throws just to get the feel.

Ok. At least you don't have them up there throwing the shit out of it in January. Still think they're starting too early.

It's like kabuki pitching with exaggerated but slower motions

Some kids have never been taught anything about wind up or stretch pitching. They just throw. I'm starting with the basics for some. I teach a very simple 4 step stretch at the beginning but it can be awkward until you get that body motion down. This is the body motion phase

A much easier and cheaper solution. Have the vet put the current dog down. Take the carcass to the pound, toss it on the counter and tell them to bring you another just like it . Save you a ton of cash.Use the savings to get a pair.

My older weim hurt herself back in November and was walking around three legged for a few days. Of course we took her to the vet where they took X Rays and told my wife she tore something. Surgery was going to be $5,000. They gave her pain medication. A day later, she was walking around fine, and within a week, she was 100% normal. I am still wondering what the vet saw and why they were so wrong.

Thanks for the warning. When these kids come thru with fucked up Japanese deliveries I'll know who to blame.

Thanks Dennis. I'm glad your Weim is doing well. We have a senior who tore his ACL last spring, and we were able to get away with a brace since he's not really very active. For this dog, though, she's pretty active and her knees have been pretty suspect since she was a puppy. In the rescue we volunteer for, we know a few other dogs that have gone through the surgery, and once they got through rehab they recovered well. Since she's only three, we're gonna go forward with it. It's just gonna suck keeping her inactive for 12 weeks.

I had a coworker that paid for an ACL surgery on his dog. He got divorced about 6 months later and she got the dog. Life is funny sometimes.

Today is one of those days that no one can prepare you for as a teacher. A senior girl in the high school i teach at committed suicide yesterday. Life sure sucks some days

Mercy :(

Hope you can hang in there and help out some of the students as best you can. Go home and hug your kids a little tighter later on.

I know. Getting word of him being a teacher is awful. They must have pretty low standards to become a teacher in Missourah.

He says "have fun working today. I'm retired. It's nice"
