Kap, I was having dinner at Carmichaels the other day, and Chet Coppock was taking shots at you, saying, though you fancy yourself as the "NBA BigFoot" in Chicago, he's been running the NBA game even before you were picking up sweating towels in the locker room in DeKalb.

So who's right? Should I set Chester straight?

Uh, Carmichael's has been closed for over a year, right?

That's just what they want you to think.

Hey Honey Bunches of Oats, I thought it was great yesterday when the station down down the dial was talking about Thibs and playing audio clips and at the exact same time you had the man himself on your show. Really shows what mover and shaker you are in the industry and what turds your competition are.

Until Kap has Brendan Malone on, he's nobody.

It doesn't have to be for the full hour - just long enough to get some righteous Lou Malnati's Cards?

Come on, Kapper! What say you?

Hey, Kapkindl Market - No disrespect intended but you never did answer this question. Been holding for a long time on the phones... how about it, Jolly St. Kap?

Hey there Sugar Bear, thanks for the calls. Holly. Good guy. Great partner. Gonna miss him. Great insight. Had a blast spending the Pre and Post games with him. Mindy and I set him up with a nice set of My Pillows for the long trip down to Miami. Sending him some Lou's and a Shari's Berries gift set, too.

Do us a favor big guy, try and be a little more creative with your calls. We don't need you to repeat our exact thoughts to us. Mac spoke highly of you, and I love me some Mac, good guy, great radio man, but we aren't impressed. I'll have Jared set you up with a nice My Pillow and a Cubs snuggie to help you get some rest. You seem stressed. A little cold in the stables this time of year.

Actually, I have placed several calls to you where we have had decidedly different opinions and very much enjoyed the debates. One of the things I like best about the Kap show is the opportunity callers have to express fully, their differing opinions and the fact the host does not feel the need to argue his side to no end. Instead, he chooses to simply agree to disagree. Many times, whether it's subjects like a Jason Heyward benching, or not signing Chapman to a new deal, we do see eye to eye and that just shows you are a pretty sharp guy Kap. Be calling again soon.

Well aware. I don't think the real Kap would bother to visit this forum and if he did, I highly doubt he would be making remarks that referenced it being a little cold in the stables this time of year. it's a bit and I'm perfectly willing to play along.

I traded texts with Kap before, during, and after the Bulls game last nite. He said it was so nice yesterday that he almost drove the Vette to work! Almost!!

He was just about to finish creating an account here the other day when he got a text from Todd Hollandsworth asking, again, for advice about his new job as Miami Marlins' color guy. Holly's gonna do a phenomenal job. Then Mindy came in and said Jerry Colangelo was at the door -- he had dropped by to thank Kap for convincing him to draft Larry Nance in 1981. He also brought him an onyx pinky ring and a 3-month supply of Dude Wipes.

Hey I just wanted to take a few moments to thank you all for the questions and wish you all a Happy New Year. Got a lovely Vermont Teddy Bear and a basket of Shari's Berries from Kris Bryant over the holidays. Sent him a few pies and a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Worked outstanding, phenomenal.

Gonna be a loaded couple of weeks, hope you all listen in and call when you can. Cold out there, you could warm up with a Lou's or a Sunbeam heating pad. Keep warm, Chicago!

Let's take some calls.

Kap, it turned out that Terry Boers didn't have an heir apparent, they had to drag some guy back from KC.

Who is your heir apparent? You have to have saved up enough from your coaching days that you don't need to really work much longer.
