I want Butler and Wade to be the ones to fire Gar, Pax and Hoiberg. Somehow.

It seems that malcontent Butler has infected Wade with his negativity. I for one thought Fred drew up some brilliant late game shots for Mirotic and Zipser and they probably would have made them if not for the horrible attitudes from the Bulls' leaders.

Yep. I think I'd feel a lot better about the Bulls if Wade was in charge.

I like Wade. Lots of honest chatter. And sure as hell he put up good stats last night and played well.

I know the Bulls scored a lot of points, but their offense lacks flow. It seems like a collection of free throws, three point shots, and bail out jumpers. A lot of standing around with some weak pick and roll and iso plays. It's not fun to watch and even worse when the D is so leaky at the end.

I can't believe any Bulls fan likes Wade after he played spy for Pat Riley with LeBron. Now he comes here on a retirement deal and cries.

Wade is very easy to root for, even during his decline from being a superstar.

Butler is easy to root for while watching his ascension to superstar status.

E'Twaun Moore is easy to root for due to hard work he puts into doing the little things it takes to be a solid role player.

Carmelo Anthony is impossible to root for as he is one of the most selfish, one dimensional players in the world.

These are just accepted truths.

I liked Wade in Miami. I didn't even care that he went back to Miami.

Acting as an extension of Pat Riley and going on recruiting trips with LeBron was unforgivable for a "Chicago Guy".

he's easy to root for ? He came here to cash a check and had to understand the roster was not going to get significantly better....did he think they were going to sign Durant or something ? Now that the situation is playing out exactly as everyone thought he's whining about the team not being better ? He certainly could have signed for somewhat less to play for a team that had a chance. Comes off like an ass to me

Wade trying to out-Rondo Rondo for leading asswipe.

I guess I see this differently than you.

After the Bulls signed Rondo, Wade was probably told by Gar and Pax that the organization was going to go for it over the next 2-3 years. That they'd do what was required and Hoiberg was progressing with getting the team to become some dynamic offensive juggernaut.

Clearly all wrong, but I don't think Wade came here just to cash a check.

Dwade is 5 years into the downward side of his career. He's likely only here because Pat Riley knew that and wisely didn't saddle his team with an aging has been living on past glories.

Since the stunt that he got Paxson to fall for years ago, I haven't been a fan. But that doesn't stop me from seeing his pitiful tirade for what it is

This roster, coaching staff and front office all deserve each other. Wade ought to take his retirement bonus and cut out this act. The crocodilev tears are telling.

If Wade was just cashing a check, he would have not stuck his neck out the last few days. Nor would he be playing as hard as he did last night. He is putting in a solid effort especially for such a crappy team and with a beaten down body.

He's earned my respect.

it's about what dwyane wanted to do... having the power to do what he wanted to do... having the power to control your own destiny.... there's something amazing about that feeling!.

i'm going to print up "i gave up my cousin and all i got was this shitty team" shirts and see if i can get shot outside of the united center with them =P

I'm with IMU and dman. Wade clearly cares about the team's performance. If you're looking for someone who is just cashing checks, look no further than Hoiberg and Forman.

With all due respect, I think you may be confusing occasional activity with actual accomplishment. He's done, his teammates know it and now he doesn't like the fact that none of them will fawn over his hollow attempts at "leadership". Especially on the random game days he deigns to actually show up

i had to scoff when a few weeks ago the trib sports section had a thing on the most over/underpaid athletes in chicago. d-wade was listed as underpaid because of his "leadership" -- kindly get the fuck out of here!

It's not like his teammates could actually take him up on any leadership anyway. Wade's either deluded or just being nice by suggesting that they simply lack effort when the reality for most of them is that they lack talent.

Lack of effort is connected to coaching. If guys aren't trying hard that's because they're not being motivated by the person directly responsible for that sort of thing.

interesting that Wade calls out the players yet you still focus on Hoiberg.

Wade's comments indict Hoiberg as much as his teammates for the reason vegan gives in the post immediately above yours.

 stuck his neck out ? by whining and complaining ?

'sticking your neck' out implies that there's some danger in whatever you're doing/saying, that it's a "bold" move, could have repercussions to you, etc.

he's not in danger of being benched, traded, cut, suspended, or otherwise being disciplined or corrected on anything. He made his decision to take the money and run, he should deal with the consequences and stop being a bitch

Thibodeau was always credited for getting Bulls players to play hard. A coach getting the most out of his players is just as much of a job responsibility as anything else... most specific defensive and offensive plays come from assistants anyway.

Wade and Butler are definitely indicting both their teammates and their coach.

Yep and I have grown to like him. I notice how isoball never gets called out when he and Butler perform well though. Offense was as predictable last night as it has been all season but he and Butler got their check so it wasn't a problem.

THe Bulls young players stink. Each and every one of them. Hoiberg may not be developing them yadda yadda yadda but I don't think they are that good. GarPax need to go. Hoiberg should go if for no other reason the players don't have faith in them. Butler should be bounced too.

Butler has shown his ass ever since he established himself in the league. I know he plays hard and has made himself into a player but unless they acquire a better best player then he should be bounced.

He throws everyone under the bus. You don't show up your coach no matter how incompetent he may be.

Right after they bounce Butler if not before that garbage ass Taj needs to be bounced. This team needs a complete overhaul. Top to bottom. I don't think Reinsdorf will bounce Paxson so its futile to focus on that. May not want to eat Hoiberg's salary either. Clean house its time Reader.

I don't know where your inference emanates because it was obvious that it was solely the players. As far as Thibs getting players to play hard that is debatable. He didn't that last season. They laid down against under .500 teams and folded the last 3 games against Cleveland. They also struggled against a mediocre Milwaukee team.

I agree that there is something amiss with what Hoiberg is doing but I think that effort has more to do with the player than the coach.

If Michael Reinsdorf doesn't step up now to clean out this crap, fans/people have no reason to invest their time or money, especially season ticket holders or advertisers
