Anyone been to this old school place? Tucked in a strip mall at Dempster and Porter, I think its in Morton Grove. Ribs and chicken, rotisserie style. Ribs are ridiculously meaty, made the mistake of ordering a full slab, barely made it through half. Got there at 5:30 on Saturday which was after the dinner rush.

Great cream of chicken soup. Was your wife the youngest person in there?

Morty "Shakes" Seinfeld: They give you a tenderloin, a salad, and a baked potato, for four-ninety-five. You know what that costs you after six?

Why are the Monday thru Thursday and Friday thru Saturday hours separated?

So this place has great Cream of Chicken soup, and the dinner rush is over before the sun goes down.

Do they serve prune juice too?

I missed you by a day. We were there on Friday night. Awfully Good Greek chicken.

It is my in law's favorite place. In my opinion it is typical food for when a Greek diner owner (most likely at the urging of his daughter) wants to go upscale.

youngest adult, but when you eat at 5:30 you run into some families with kids.

Didn't try the soup, went with a salad. I'll try that next time.

Place is solid, ribs are delicious. Casual (air plane attire), prices aren't outrageous.

do you have any other examples of places like that? I'd be interested to hear who fills in that sub-genre.

Let me see if I can pull some memories as they are not my typical place.
