Will they make one? A home run would be getting Okafor, sending Butler to Boston and Taj to OKC.

Well, I can think of one board member who we shouldn't ask.

I was right. If you saw the reports after my post my information was accurate. The Bulls decided to be the Bulls though. Sad!

Chicago has continued to push on a trade for 76ers center Jahlil Okafor, league sources tell @TheVertical. Discussions continue.

Interesting that these talks are still on-going with the Philly trade made earlier today. Unless Chicago can land another 1st round pick for Gibson (seems like a stretch), what are they going to give up?

That Tweet is from yesterday, before the Noel trade went down.

Thank you. That makes more sense. Sounds like Philly made a decision on whom to trade, and Chicago wasn't willing to move draft picks.

As for the rest of the day, sounds like it's possible Gibson could be dealt, but I'd be surprised if they were able to get 1st round pick back for a rental, backup although a useful role player type like Gibson.

But if the Bulls don't get anything done, the entire front office should be fired. Down to secretaries and janitors as well.

Metaphorically speaking, Okafor is like, what, the solid single b4 a couple'a errors get you a de-facto inside the park HR, right? [I mean that trading Butler would be an error, Taj = *shrug*]

Bulls sending Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and 2018 2nd rounder to OKC for Joffrey Lauvergne and Cameron Payne, sources said.

I'm seeing Payne was included in the deal now. Makes more sense.

Payne has a lot of potential. He won't reach it here cuz Hoiberg is a dumbass but on paper it's not a bad trade, especially if the goal is to get younger. McDermott is essentially a worthless NBA player.
