Daughter has a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. She locked herself out of the phone during an update and can't remember the entry code. Short of some sort of a factory reset (which needs to be avoided at all costs) anyone know an in for this?

Shes on the way over to the ATT store to see what they can do. It sucks. She is upset but it is her own doing. She has many memorable things on the phone about her sister.

You may be able to mount the phone on a laptop and download the pictures and probably the messages.

If they are on the removable memory card they will be there.

Also, they may be automatically backed up to the cloud depending on your system.
