Osweiler makes 17 million. It's not palatable when the quarterback sucks

The only good thing I can see about this and I mean the only thing is that he is 6'6" and has thrown twice as many TDs to INTs including college and NFL.

He's a big statue. Tammy Duckworth is more elusive

For some reason this reminds me of when I got all bent out of shape when they announced Heath Ledger was going to be The Joker in TDK. I yelled and said no fucking way is that guy going to be any good.

Im just glad to be done with Cutler.

Why? Jay is due 12.5 and another 2.5 for roster bonus, you want that turd for 15 million to play 9 games and play poorly, get hurt and he can't mentor a young QB he has no value.

I don't think you understand what I was saying. We know what Cutler is. He's average to below average and isn't the future of this team. If he stuck around while you were grooming the QB of the future it won't change much. Giving some Glennon $15M a year will set this franchise back much further than retaining Cutler for another year at the same price.

I personally wouldn't have either of them.

I personally don't want Glennon, I'd keep Boyer or Barkley and let Them battle it out with Shaw. I can't watch the Bears with Jay, the games are much better without him, the whole team is energized.

I think Mahomes is there in the second round, I'd take him or that kid from Pitt in the 3rd and draft another QB next year in the first.

That's hard to believe, he's thrown twice as many TD to picks in the NFL- 30-15

What I'm saying is that his college career must have been average at best. Ni don't remember him in college but I know he was drafted in the 3rd round.

No I'm saying as if I acted that I knew for certain that Heath was going to be god awful and didn't deserve he part and I was wrong.

We know what we have with Cutler and its shit. We think we know what we have with Glennon and we don't like it...but we dont know yet though truly.

I am looking forward to the many highlights Glennon as a starter will provide to the AwfulWhiteQBs twitter account. Speaking of which I just learned that 20% of Glennon's NFL touchdowns have come while his team is trailing by 17 or more. We'll be getting our own Blake Bortles!

Better than hoping he dies of a drug overdose I suppose. I mean, I think its a bad signing but to wish death seems a bit strong.

Bad teams overpay for every position, especially QB. Sucks to be the Bears.

What a dick

I kind of want to spoil the end of The Shield just for that comment.

He's nearly as good as Aaron Rodgers.

If I had to guess, and it would be horrible if this isn't the case.

Year 1: $10 million
Year 2: $15 million
Year 3: $20 million

With the ability to cut him at any point after the first year.

I'm loving the spin that this is actually a good deal because it will be the cheapest contract for a starting QB not on a rookie deal. Uh maybe that's because he shouldn't be a starting QB?

As far as I can tell the only real offer to Glennon was $8 million a year from the Bucs to be their backup as the Jets and others became less interested in him, yet the Bears still offered 15?

I think the Bears would have won several more games in his career if Jay simply didn't turn the ball over. There were far fewer he won by being a superman. Maybe you are on to something here.

the second he signs people can say "he's the best QB the Bears have ever had!" because he will be better than Cutler.

No drafted Bears QB can live up to the legend of Rex Grossman. That's apparently why Glennon became the best option.

What could the Bears spend an extra $9M on?
